Simple question: old blood with Mask of eee joins a saurus unit. Does my enemy need to take a terror test or not when i charge? Can't find any good info in the rulebook. If not then the Mask is only good for Lone characters... Fear is described very well, it says when one or more models in a unit cause fear, it is enough to take test. I know terror causing units, also cause fear. But it doesn't say under terror that a single model is enough for the terror test
Yes, he does. Why: It doesn't actually matter if the entire unit causes Terror. The fact that your OB is charging means that he is being charged by a Terror causing model and so needs to make a leadership test. There's nothing that says you only take this test if the entire unit has this rule. I'll give you the relevant quotes when I've got my rulebook in hand.
In the BRB it says: "When a unit is charged by a Terror-causing creature, there is a chance that the warriors will abandon their position, fleeing before the creature rather than fighting it. If a Terror-causing creature declares a charge, the target unit must immediately take a panic test to quell their Terror." Look at the full rule in the BRB. If your OB charges, then he comes under the above whether he is with a unit or not.
Cheers for clearing that up. I sometimes read the rules, read them again, once more and i get confused PS: sorry for the late reply
No worries. Glad I could help and, honestly, I quite enjoy being able to answer questions on the 8th as it means someone is playing it somewhere and keeping the dream alive! Right @NIGHTBRINGER ?
I play only lizzies, got around 10k Points. Recently started again. Played till 6th edition. The idea is to get more armies, but that ain't so easy moneywise My opponents play WoC, o&g, empire and vc
10K is a respectable army! Nice One! I have 6-7K myself, maybe a bit more if I got all upgrades possible. Your friends have a nice mix of opponents for you! Keep the 8th crusade going!
Got some older models that sadly aren't used anymore... Like the slann carried by 4 TGS. Some special character models. Been playing with 8th edition rules and having a blast, every few minutes, it's nose in the rulebook
Nice. I'm actually more of a fan of the 8th edition models, but I too have (somewhere in my attic) the Slann carried by 4 TG! I actually quite like having to do that. I am a nerd/geek in that respect where I have learned the rules preeeeeetty well by constant review. I like the idea of learning the rules so I can develop strategies to use in the games.
The Slann is perfectly useable as long as he is based on a proper 50X50mm base. Skinks with bows are perfectly acceptable substitutes for regular skinks... and they even rank up in a cohort unlike the current ones!
