I can't help but noticing that Zlatlan (known also as the Southlands) has been completely omitted from the new Lizardmen army book!

Zlatlan has been a flourishing city since the first LM book came out but in the new one no mention seems to be made to the city on the other side of the world pond!

Didn't strike me... but I haven't seen ANYTHING about the southlands either. :shifty:

Wierd, I liked the style of that place... Only young slaan and saurus and skinks riding horned ones...

The new books are weird... They obviously decided they couldn't fit everything in, so just decided to completely ignore some parts of history. Notice there is absolutely NOTHING on the storm of chaos either? And that was meant to be a huge event.

In the new HE book, all the writer did was copy-paste fluff from the 3rd and 4th edition book, so it completely removed the really cool Eltharion the Blind, Albion Campaign and SoC. It is almost like these books are set further back in the past.

From what I got from the new book it was just a brief recap of the previous fluff and mostly why the lizardmen are going to war instead of contemplating. As there is no communication with the southlands there would be no new information. Also I thought there were no Slaan in the southlands.

There are a few, but they are of a younger generation, all fifth, maybe with a few fourth. There's a brief mention of them in the history section, but it definately pales in comparison to what the old book had. I think they're just focusing on Lustria for this edition.
