Any help would be much appreciated. Pukka
i would change the slamanders to razadons, as razadons are more predictable, you wont over shoot or under shoot with them and when they get charged with 2 artilery dice instead of 1, its awsome also take the extra skink handlers off and replace the bane head on your skink priest to a blood statuette of spite, because if you play against elves they are only toughness 3, even heroes so thats a 50 50 chance of wounding even the lords like teclis.
Wouldn't use lizardmen artillery to snipe lords... much better to thin out enemy lines and outnumber with your own ranked units. When playing vs elves I would deffinetly go for sallies as their -3 AS is priceless vs dragonprinces ec. Besides, sallies one-hit-panic their targets and that can turn the tide of many a battle. And whats better, they also auto hit most of their targets and have flamable attacks. Sa for how predicteble those razors are, you got to remember that 2 dices, dobbles the odds for a misscast...
dragon price are immune to sallies and all other flaming attacks unless you were recomending close combat with sallies which would just be crazy
Hrm I've been thinking and im tempted to go for razors instead due to the advantage i'd have over elves. It's all well and good salamanders having -3 to AS and causing panic after 1 wound but when you miss (not misfire) with the template it isnt great either. Once they hit they're way better though. What range do you guys move your sallies to before they shoot?
i dont use sallies much but on a artillary dice u the average you should roll is 6, so you need to place you sallies atleast 6 away from units, as the flame template is also 6 inches long (i think). but there is always a chance of over shooting which IMO is to big a risk.
