Over the past few days I've been contemplating on a 2000 point 8th Ed. End Times Lizardmen list. With that now done, I can finally move on to the next step in the process! (And man, am I looking forward to this!) I love Plogs. Not just to read them but also personally to keep track of yourself, your army and to see people evolve throughout their collection. Step 1: Make my Army List - Making it easier to make selective purchases. Step 2: Know what to buy and where Step 3: Assembly & Prime Step 4: Painting Miniature ... If you wish to know more about Step 1. You can always check the link in my Signature.
As for bases I've been thinking of going with either buying resin bases from Micro Art studios cause of their nice range of Jungle & Ancient Ruin bases or just sticking with the basic square bases. (Trying to edit the post to show the bases I'm trying to refer to. For now it ain't working.)
Found myself the How To Paint : Lizardmen PDF online and am using the tips to paint my models. Also nice for inspirations. As a result I put the Slann Palanquin in the bin and re-primed it. Currently working on the Bastiladon. Those scales take some time to do but I'm enjoying every minute of it!
I found the WD where the saurus kit first came out on my shelf. They have a 2 page painting section for them which I'll scan and post when I get more internet at home...
If it´s form the WD, i have the paint splatter form the WD from summer 2013, when the carnosaur, troglodon, bastilodons, ripperdactyls and terradons, and other heroes came out. It´s pretty simple though, lots of drybrushing and washing all around
Yes Please! I want to see it! Also I am looking forward to lord @Hellion Nox's painted Slann. I realized looking at your picture that I had totally forgotten about the tiny little frog on the right-arm side of the palanquin (the one you painted orange with the black spots). It made me appreciate the detail that went into making this classic model; and I can't wait to see your finished product!
It is not the one from WD but if you go to GW's website and fill in "how to paint lizardmen" you'll see the one I mean. If you want the PDF feel free to sent me your email adress in a private message and I will send it to you. @Warden The slann is still waiting to be painted. I'm trying to figure out what skin colour I want to paint him in. But instead, I bring you this! Edit: It is still a WIP but just to show what I've been up to lately.
love the bastiladon model, you've chosen a sober and classy colour scheme which fits the thing well… keep posting WIP pics!!
@Toltecatl Can find the painting scheme on the PDF I'm not a great painter but I've tried to recreate it as good as possible.
well thats what most of us do hehe... I always complain about how impatient i am, too.. painting practice takes time, cant always have that much besides you're doing really fine.
