Just in looking at the unit makeup, do you think it's necessary to run your skinks in units of 18? They aren't usually super great in combat. Better used as smaller distracting units and monster hunters. Again though, I haven't played T9A yet, so please correct me if my logic is wrong.
Yeah, 18's a little weird, but it might work - put them 9-wide and anyone who wants to get into them is going to take a serious stand-and-shoot. They won't be that mobile, that way, but that stand-and-shoot might be enough to, say, protect a flank from getting charged.
With the Alpha Carno you really want the starfall shard. And the Spear of the Stampede instead of the sword, the Carno is fast and has MW D3 already. Impacts hits S7 that strike first is nice.
