I am a long time 40k player who has just recently decided to start Sigmar with my group of 4 gaming buddies.i currently do not have any Seraphon but I have chosen them to be my Sigmar army. That being said I was told to post some pics of my current project which is 40k related. So here are some pictures of my current GK project. Can't wait to get started on some Seraphon! I'd love feedback on the models as it helps drive me to better my painting! I look forward to sharing my work with you all and I hope you enjoy!
Very nice The gunmetal on your knight looks a little flat maybe apply a nuln oil wash and then highlight. Is the heraldy freehand or transfers?, I know the checked pattern is freehand. Did you airbrush the panels?
The metal portions are actually washed already for some reason the picture is making it look flat. I have not done the drybrish yet tho8gh which will help bring out the contrast. I heraldry is transfers. And yes the checked pattern is free hand. Everything was painting with a brush. I personally don't like the way air brushed knights have that sort of circular highlight thing going on where it's obvious that the air brush made clear circles of highlights. This picture was also taken before I washed down the gold. I will have to get an updated picture tonight with some of the new work that has been done to the flag etc. As usual whenever I look st the model I find little things to change here and there so I will post pictures and I will make sure I note when I have completed it fully.
It looks really good, I thought about getting one and blessing it with Nurgle. Have you thought about trying edge highlights?
Eversor is next on the docket. I have promised myself I will not take on any Seraphon projects until my entire 2k list for GK is complete. This guy and Draigo will complete that so upwards and onwards.
They look great! I have to echo Crowsfoot's comments about the main gun arm. I know that you said it was washed and I'm sure the pic isn't showing the true representation of the actual paint job, but it just looks too clean. Like it just rolled off the assembly line. It might be a good idea to make the vent holes along the barrel a very dark color, almost black. That'd go a long way to adding depth to the piece. Also some burn marks around the barrel could be nice. Like he's been using it. The only other thing I could say would be to include some areas where battle has chipped the paint job and the metal is showing through. But that's totally a personal preference. Good job though! I'm looking forward to seeing your Lizards!
