Built my Storm of Sigmar Chaos for a quick break. Not sure when I'll get to painting them, but they can sit in the box and wait until then.
Finally back painting after taking last week off. Finished my first five Saurus with spears. Now I need to just get the command team done and buy another 32 warriors.
Semi-test paint scheme for my cold ones, more of an update to my old 7th ed. scheme. All the major blocks are done, just some detail work to finish up. Now to just get another ten finished, then on to the riders.
Oh god why is everyone painting their cavalry, your making me feel guilty I still have 20 to paint, damn it guys. Nice scheme by the way
Thanks. Think of it as encouragement and not guilt. I have ten and am hoping to buy more, so I feel your pain. My hope is to eventually have 32 cold ones. 2 Scar vets and 3 squads of 10. I think it will take three more Start Collecting boxes.
The bright green and purple color combination reminds me of.... something. I can't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps some super hero? Or some real existing animal (might be a bird or an insect or a reptile)...
Well, that's one solution to all the fighting in the Mortal Realms. Barney the Seraphon comes down in a beam of starlight as the Stormcast Eternal are about to charge into the ranks of the Chaos Warriors. "We should be friends, not fight all the time! Let's all sing together. 'I love you, you love me...'" And they all lived happily ever after...
I built these last night, but I'm not happy with them. I think they're too small for an astrolith bearer, particularly as I am hoping to attach it to a plastic Oldblood. I may decide to reappropriate it for a Saurus Gaurd standard and start over with a 40 millimeter base. We will see.
I think I'm happier with this one. I haven't done the back yet, need to wait for it to dry. Also, 1/16" brass rod should hold it up just fine.
