I get bored so i switch between projects sometimes.) I bought a cheap metal carno on ebay. (As i recieved him i saw the fins on the back are filed down. :-/ but i decided to go with him despite that.) I want him to look bigger then he really is, so i am going to build a diorama around him. Below you can see some pictures of the process. I will add more, as i continue. 1) Pose check 2) Building the base 3) base colours 4) First layers 5) first time "painting" saliva
Visiting my old engine of the gods. It was my first contrast paint experiment. Now turning it into a skystrike Bow ... not exactly a fun piece to paint. :-/
It's finished. Now i have to wait for my ebay delivery of the derpy squad and start another stripping session.
Had a boring day... i stil can't get myself to start batch painting my Saurusguard neither the warriors. I stil fear to ruin the Terradons (I have 9 build and waiting to be painted for about a year :-/.). So i just prepared the bases for the Kroxigors. They will be dry and crackled tomorrow and get a shade of Agrax and a drybrush of Wraithbone. Then i will add some tufts / flock / snakes.
And you can show how many consecutive turns someone is holding the objective, or how many points one objective is worth in the given turn. I hope i can use them soon. :-/
3 Kroxigors, 3 Salamanders, 9 Handlers -> 20€ including postage Now i know why. Underneath the 2mm thick coat of some crazy paint i found the whole miniatures covered in superglue. :-/ Took me about two hours with the Hobby knive. But now they are rebuild. Tomorrow will be green stuff day.
I can only recommend dumping metal miniatures into acetone. Paint? Gone! Super glue? Gone! Attached plastic parts? Gone too! Just use a glass container of some sort that can be closed air tight - old Nutella glass for example. Saves a lot of time with the hobby knife.
Normally i try isopropanol alcohol first, if this is too weak i use nitro-thinner (I'm not sure if these are the correct terms.). Is Aceton used as nailpolish remover? I may find that in the bathroom. I just have to be sneaky enough.
