@The Red Devil I've had this idea for some time, but with the recent uptick in non-Lizardmen WFB discussion (and the eventual arrival of The Old World), I thought now might be an opportune time to bring it up. Would it be possible to create one additional Fantasy sub-forum for threads dealing with discussion/tactics/lists for non-Lizardmen armies? Just one thread for all the other armies, I was thinking specifically here... We have many threads dealing with Lizardmen versus X, but now there are a few threads popping up from the vantage point of other armies. Obviously we are a Lizardmen/Seraphon forum, but I think this place has become so much more. Up until now, threads dealing with other armies have been largely relegated to the "General Hobby/Tabletop Chat" sub-forum, but that seems a bit too broad and they always get lost in the mix of random topics. I know in the past there has been some reluctance to create new sub-forums due to a potential lack of activity, but I think we can adequately populate a single sub-forum with interesting content (at the very least, Lizardmen generals can take a peek at what some of us deviants are scheming!). I think that between members like @Lizards of Renown , myself as well as others we could make it worthwhile. At the very least it will be more active than the entire Kings of War section with its 5 sub-forums. If it is something you're not interested in, that's fully understandable. If it is too much work, that's fully understandable. If you feel it to be disruptive to the overall theme of the Lustria Online, that's fully understandable. I just thought it might be a good addition and it doesn't hurt to ask. Either way, thanks for reading my ramblings and considering the idea. Cheers, NIGHTBRINGER
If possible, @The Red Devil I would really appreciate this. I'll admit, I've been spoiled by Lustria Online. I've tried EEFL and other forums, but none of them are so user friendly or just friendly in general. I'd like to think it would attract more and varied attention to the site, as well as contributions and (cue ominous music) maybe some possible converts to Lizardmen/Seraphon!
I would use this, I currently have some dwarfs as eBay rescues and while the bugman brewery forums are great, this forum still remains the best kept out of all the other 8th edition army forums (IMO)
Sure, we can try to add it. I need to check what icons we have available etc, so will try to get it added on Monday or Tuesday
That is awesome! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Praise be to the mighty @The Red Devil . Long may he ribbit! (stole that one from @Scalenex )
Sorry for the delay, life has hit with a curveball which unfortunately means less time to use on the community. I have added the forum but will be setting it up with a proper icon as soon as I have time. In the meantime, if someone can think of a better name for the forum title and the forum description it would be great Current Title: Other Armies Discussion Current Description: Post anything about Warhammer here. On a side note, is there any interest to have a similar forum for other armies on AoS?
It would be structural to have. And have the General Hobby area cleaned up nicely Also makes stuff easier to find, I guess. Grrr, Imrahil
All hail the Red Devil! That sucks... hopefully you've been able to deal with the curve ball okay... HOORAY! Thanks so much! How about "Blasphemous Discussions (Other Armies)" and then "Post anything about other 8th edition armies here"?
Thank you very much. It is greatly appreciated! "Musings of the Warm Bloods - Other Armies Discussion" "Deviants of the Great Plan - Other Armies Discussion"
I like this one the best To be honest it is for all Warhammer Fantasy editions so not only the 8th(which it will be mostly, but still) Grrr, Imrahil
This is a good idea. +1 I made a thread a few weeks ago that I think would fit. It would be a candidate to be moved there.
I only noticed the appearance of this new section yesterday when I saw it in the Fantasy sub-section of the forum, and never saw this discussion about creating it, but as a person who’s got four non-Lizardman Fantasy armies and is working on unofficial army lists and playtesting for some more, many thanks to both @NIGHTBRINGER for first mentioning the idea and @The Red Devil for creating it!
