AoS New league starting after 3.0 release, seeking ideas/advice

    My FLGS is starting a new league a week after the release date of the new edition. Seeing all the changes to reinforced units, monsters and buffs, I quickly put a Thunder Lizard list.
    still not sure about the guard and the two stegadons.

    I think the Slann should just take Stellar Tempest as it is the best spell they know. If you want heal an EotG is cool because it can heal as well as maybe summon warriors to grab objectives.

    I would also try to make your general the skink chief on stegadon as it can take the prime warbeast trait to make it good in close combat.

    The guards are cool to keep the Slann alive long enough to generate cp but with new edition it seems like command points are going to be easy to get so they might not be needed as losing a Slann might not be the end of the world.

    Running 2 bastiladons kind of means you should try to take a burning head as they will gladly take re rolls for days.

    One thing to note is that you should also think about the new battalions when thinking about your list composition. Also change of points is hinted, with monsters going up, so you will see what can you fit in afterwards.
    I also support the notion of having a Burning Head, there is no ability to have units reroll 1 to hit, only +1 to hit from priest.

    It is also worth making the Reg Skink Priest your General for Master of Star Rituals to get a free +1 to hit for whichever Bastiladon you plan to tap with your TL command ability.
