Hey guys, So as many of you (I guess) I am working on my lizardmen and of course they no longer come with square bases. Next thing I did is order some cheap ones from ebay but after arriving, they are not of the same height and will hence make the army uneven when next to the ones with citadel bases... So I was wondering if any of you found a good enough match (that at least are the same height...) for square bases for 25mm and 20mm. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have seen some on amazon and ebay from time to time, other than that I am not sure? You might have to get the bases with slots in them, but that is easily fix with clay/milliput/plasticard/any gap filling material.
Ok so for those interested I ordered square bases from two different sources: -The best option is obviously to get Citadel square bases, as they are the ones used by WHFB and they will match your existing armies. At first I thought they were out of production since GW doesn't sell them, but that's not entirely true. Actually there's this UK based site https://elementgames.co.uk/ that still sells Citadel square bases (for infantry at least) and very well priced too. -Another good option I found is Atlantis miniatures, also UK based, who sells square bases on ebay: https://www.ebay.es/itm/303820863783. I already bought cavalry bases few months ago and they seemed to be identical to Citadel ones, so I expect the same for the infantry bases. Hope you can find them useful and don't waste money on bad copies.
I personally have been cruising around the net and found Tiny Worlds to make a good range of square bases that resemble the GW ones: http://www.tinyworlds.co.uk/plastic-bases/square-bases-plastic They have all the sizes needed for Fantasy - 20mm and 25mm infantry bases, cavalry bases, 40mm and 50mm Monstrous Infantry/small monster squares, 50x75mm Monstrous Cav/Giant and 50x100mm Chariot/Monster bases, plus loads of great terrain, Movement trays and basing materials too. I used to also consider Warlord as a good stockist of square slottabases but they only make 25mms in the GW style now
