Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - August 2022 This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple. At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else. Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link. Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link. The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc. You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section. If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress Grrr, Imrahil

I'm back again its a Starseer this time for me. I have a lot to paint to a certain standard before mid-September including Purple Sun, Krondspine, Kroak, 6 Terradons, plus magnatising bases, creating magnetic sheet transport boxes. This doesn't even include the Dread Saurian which I want to paint in a similar scheme to the awesome blue/link example somewhere on this site. Maybe this is my list covered to up the end of the year

Keeping it simple this month, at least for now Assemble and magnetize a Stegadon Paint the rescued skink priest Keep working on my Saurus warriors Post some Pictures of my painted models Once again if something new comes up I'll add it here
My goals: ...guys, I've started Dwarven Holds. Forgive me - my scalies will be waiting a while. 1. Finish my test models of Greybeards (Clan Warriors by Avatars of War) and pick a final approach to the color scheme 2. Finish touch-up on my Clan Warriors (Dwarf Warriors with great weapons by Games Workshop), including figuring out how to paint their little mouth-hole. Do you paint the lips? The teeth? Just keep it a darker version of the beard colors? These are problems I never had with Lizardmen... 3. Paint 5 more of either Greybeards or Clan Warriors.
mmm... i had 2 goals: to finish the plasma thermic regulators (which i did) to paint a couple of Necrons charaters (Trazyn and Nemesor) - still to do
The story competition is going on, go read and vote (my vote is in) - paint a new Easterlings Kataphract rider - Finish a piece of scenery - build all my wargs and the chieftain - play a game of Battle companies with my brother - read and vote on the short-story competition Grrr, Imrahil

I'm going to make a special request for somebody to beat some motivation into me. I have a really cool idea for a nurgle demon Prince and I need the motivation to start the project. This would be fusing a bunch of different parts from various kits onto a Mordor troll used as the base body. There would be sculpting involved. This would be my most ambitious project in recent memory. It would also take up a lot of time in regards to my personal hobby output versus commission work.
If i'm not wrong, you also paint on commission. Work on your model, paint it and publish the result on your website promoting a service of customisation. So it wouldn't be hobby time vs work time.
