Hi just thought I would share with you a cheap method for creating flag stone bases
    DSCN1019.jpg
its not the painting that imporant this is up to the individual I prefer dark bases
first using some card the type they use for flyers is great cut out your flag stones any size or shape but lay them out on your base to see how they lay
    DSCN1003.jpg
use a polly filler to fill in the base and while the filler is still wet glue down the flag stones
    DSCN1005.jpg
use PVA glue the reason for this is so you can poke in dmbles in the paper wich will give your stone texture
next fill you gaps with dirt scatter

under coat and paint hope this help someone

Nice job! The only problem I can see is that the pieces of card get slightly warped from all the paint and glue. I bet if you used thin plastic, like the stuff on a blister pack, that would solve that problem.

If I could force myself to do anything beyond a little flocking on the bases, I would do this.
