Welcome to the voting thread for our 11th instance of The Feathered Serpent competition! This competition's theme is: “PATTERNS”, as chosen by @Explodingzeb, the winner of the last challenge. These can be natural, like markings on creatures, or they can be painted as designs on shields or cloth etc.: the goal was just one: to exalt those details that make your model stand out! The voting is now open and will close on Saturday, 14h of september. This round we have seven entries, and as much as it hurts, you can vote for TWO entries (remember to not vote for your own piece )
#1 - kroxh Spoiler: Saurus w Banner #2 - Imrahil Spoiler: Troglodon #3 - JTSleep Spoiler: Roq-Qarok and friend
I've narrowed it down to three, and i think i know in the end the 2 entries i'm gonna favor, but it's really difficult.
Seems like everybody put their best into their minis. No matter what, you are all winners in my eyes.
Some brief, personal considerations: 1 - @kroxh: imo a solid model, double pattern shown in the freehand banner AND on the skin of the frog. And a nice base too. it was a great first entry. 2 - @Imrahil : that trog is spectacular, with a precise and meticulous pattern along the@JT scales. I was tempted to vote for it, but then @Tuchanka came... 3 - @JTSleep : a great duo, old style, the freehand on the various pieces of fabric works great 4 - @Nathan Weeres : probably the most unexpected model in the whole round. And great freehand pattern too! 5 - @Hojdar : vibrant and blending colors, stunning details, everything in this model is just fabulous. It took one of my votes. 6 - @Tuchanka : the amount of patience and precision to freehand ALL those scales is impressive. And not only that, there's plenty of details and patterns also on the snakes and the leaves on the base. It took my second vote. 7 - @ASSASSIN_NR_1 : not all patterns have to be composed by brilliant colors, sometime a dark pigmentation makes wonders. good job on the leaves too. all in all, a great competition, kudos to all the painters!
