Defensiva deployment for me, with a unit of skink skirmishers inside the watchtower. Agressivo deployment for My oponent, in a way to avoid scouts in his tear arc. After deployment, I positioned the chamaleon Skinks in front of Scylla and Skullcrushers, in a way to distract and cause some wounds.
First Turn Chaos Daemon prince charges the tower, skullcrushers charge the chamaleon skinks. Every other Chaos unit move forward. Magic phase: fireball dispelled. Close combat phase: daemon prince killed 5 Skinks, to no wound taken. Skinks flees From the tower. Skullcrushers killed 6 chamaleon skinks, no wounds taken. Overruned and trample the poor skinks, but ended their movement in front of the Stegadon. Lizardmen Stegadon charges the skullcrushers. Salamanders and skinks move forward to shoot and redirect charges. Saurus, Temple Guard and Cohorts keep defensive positions. Fleeing skinks rally. Magic phase: throne of vines cast, flesh to Stone dsipelled, wyssan’s wildform cast On Stegadon. Poor skullcrushers… Shooting phase: Salamanders caused 30 hits On Warriors unit. One warrior died… skink skirmishers On the right killed 1 Chaos warhound, skink skirmishers in the left killed some bloodletters. Close combat: impact hits from Stegadon wounds 3 times, multiple wounds tallied 8 total wounds. Skullcrusher attacks for no wounds, skinks caused no wounds, Stegadon kills the remaining skullcrusher.
Round 2 Chaos Scylla charges skinks On the left. Chaos warhounds and Chaos Knights charges skinks On the right. Warriors charge salmander unit One wich flees, daemon prince charges salamander unit Two wich flees. Magic phase: fireball and 2 skink handlers died from unit One. Throne of vines dispelled. Close combat: scylla kills skink skirmishers, Knights overrun skink skirmishers and Go off table. Lizardmen Magic: throne of vines cast, no other spell successfully cast. Shooting phases: Stegadon shoot and does not wound scylla, skink skirmishers shoot and kills 2 bloodletters.
Turn Three Chaos Daemon prince charges salamander unit two Magic: fireball dispelled, throne of vines dispelled. Close combat: daemon prince kills One salamander and 3 skink handlers. Unit hold. Lizardmen Time to kill!!! Saurus Warriors and Stegadon charges bloodletters, temp Guard charges Warriors and General, cohorts charges daemon prince. Magic phase: earthblood On Temple Guard, Wyssan’s Wildform On Saurus Warriors. Shooting phase: skink skirmishers caused 2 wounds On scylla. Close combat: stegadon and Saurus killed 14 bloodletters, 1 Saurus Warriors dies. Unit unstable and destroyed. Temple Guard killed 5 Warriors, Warriors and general killed 4 Temple Guard. Leadership At -4 and unit holds. Daemon prince caused 5 wounds On kroxigors and killed One skink. Kroxigors caused 2 wounds. Charge, 2 wounds, Three ranks, banner vs 6 wounds. Daemon prince fails Ld and suffer One wound from unstable rule.
Turn 4 (last turn because My opponent had to Go Home) Chaos No charges Magic phase: fireball dispelled Close combat: Temple Guard kills 5 Warriors, 2 Temple Guard died. Unit holds. Daemon prince killed 1 kroxigor and 2 Skinks and recover 1 wound from ability, kroxigor causes 1 wound. 1 wound, Three ranks, banner vs 2 wounds, fails Ld by One, take extra wound. At this point My opponent had to leave. I believe the game was more or less toward Lizardmen Victory. Forgot to explain: the bloodthirster was a proxy for daemon prince, and the monster do the left Side of the Lizardmen table was a proxy for Scylla Anfgrim.
Nice battle! And congrats on the basic victory! But why was the Daemon Prince taking Unstable wounds?
Well, learned something new there. In the Daemons of Chaos Book, the Daemon Prince has Unstable but not in the Warriors of Chaos Book. Surprisingly large disadvantage.
