It's not done yet!!! I still have to do the reviews and self-flagellation about how bad it is
That usually starts after I enter my story or the start of voting
When the other entrants become available to read is when the concern and self doubt set in for me.... Being self-critical is easy when you have comparisons.
So... I am 250 words in. Halfway to the minimum input
Well, for the first time I won't have to do a bunch of hacking and slashing my story down. I'm well below the 2200 word limit.
The limit being 2400 words
Okay, my entry is in. May the Critic Gods have mercy upon my soul.
It's not a winner, but hopefully people enjoy it.
Well done! and now the waiting begins.
@Scalenex : This has to be the fastest entry ever, is it?
That's the attitude
Well no, someone else beat him by a few days with a rough draft he or she wanted me to look over this very contest.
On past contests there might have been someone who was faster. @thedarkfourth very frequently provides a story entry within the first week of the contest. He's not the only early bird, but he is the most prolific across multiple contests.
PROCRASTINATION IS FOR WARMBLOODS. LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE TODAY. (I have not written anything yet)
Indeed, we have two entries. Neither of them are from TD4.
But in any event, two entries in the first week is a good thing. Usually we get only one entry in the first week. Sometimes, this stretches past the second week forcing me to break out this song. But we have two, and two is enough for a contest.
