Hey, I am a new Player to AOS and I will participate in a Beginner Tourament in November. I feel like DT fits my playstyle the most and the easy movements with teleports and reserves are good to handle. It is a 1500 Points Tounament Allegiance: Seraphon - Constellation: Dracothion's Tail - Grand Strategy: Prized Sorcery - Triumphs: inspired Slann Starmaster (265) - General - Command Trait: Ancient Knowledge - Artefact: Godbeast Pendant - Ancient Knowledge 2nd Spell: Stellar Tempest - Spell: Mystical Unforging Saurus Astrolith Bearer (150) Skink Starseer (145) - Spell: Hand of Glory 5 x Saurus Guard (115) 10 x Skinks (75) - Boltspitters Celestite Daggers & Star Bucklers 2 x Salamander Hunting Pack (240) - Reinforced x 1 2 x Salamander Hunting Pack (240) - Reinforced x 1 Engine of the Gods (heal) (265) Battle Regiment Total: 1495 / 1500 Reinforced Units: 2 / 3 Wounds: 73 Drops: 1 I could also go 5 Drops and add Warlord for Amulet of Desteny to the Engine. I could also drop the EOTG to add 2x Sallies und Upgrade 10 Skinks to 5 x Saurus Guard The Plan is to hit Hard with the Sallies and outsustain over Heal and sommoning. All Feedback is welcome
Looks like a solid list Maybe consider starting with a different Slann spell and switching into Mystical Unforging situationally. The range on it is pretty short and usefulness really depends on your opponents list, so cant reliably see use at the start anyway. If you start with something like Celestial Equilibrium instead would increase the likelihood of starseer getting off control fate. That spell will win games effectively -3 rend salamanders is going to hurt
This is a good remark In my Plan my 3 Slan Spells are always - CP - Comet And the third is Mystical unforging/ Steller Tempest or Celestial Apotheosis But I will consider Celestial Equilibrium now, I thougt just one other wizzard is not worth it, but the fact that this list is all about nuking key targets could be a good point running it. Prist could sit in the realmshaper when the Slann is busy. Its still a 1 Drop whats super important in 1500 games. Its possible to think about dropping the Astolith but summoning in 1500 Points is a powerfull tool, one extra Salli turn two is just to good I also have a FoS list with heavy summoning but I realy couldent test it on a competitive games. Hi again! So, how do you actually play this I guess you start out by doing the one drop Battle Regiement and then you have 4 units in reserve? Do you have any overall tacs from there? Cheers!
Hey Mate, 1500 Points is a bit different to 2000 Points. The reward of doing a good alpha strike is mutch higher. As an Example: If you take first turn and kill 300 Points you have killed 20% of the Army. In 2000 Point if you just killed 300 Points its only 15%. Situation 1: You know you can choose if you go first or secound. If you see you have a good target for your 4 Sallies u just keep one in reserve. The other one will deploeyed and recieve the prist buff so that all Sallies hit on 2+ ( the other to with AOA). Place the Slann agressive or even the Realmshaper, usaly those 18´ plavement from reserve + 12´ Rage will be fine to plave the Salamander, the other Salli whos buffed by the prist can be portet with our normal teleport deep in the backline. and remeber those +1 to hit will stay till your next herophase. At Round 2, the Basti will always recieve the prist Buff. Situation 2: The enemy will dicede whos first. The good thing is here, he will placed his hole armee and you will probably see if he want first turn or give it to you. Use the realmshaper to Block LoS The Prist in the Realmshape is sometime a good sacrifice if he has some good shooting. Keep both Sallis in reserve or set two up for unleash hell. Greets
