I began collecting seraphon models starting last October and I now have 2345 points. I haven't built any terrain yet but will do soon and am currently browsing the web for inspiration. I'm looking at building both a stony area with a large temple, a lake running next to the temple and a swampy or jungle area next to it with some plants in places and moss on the stone. I've had some crazy ideas for armies and I wanted to build like a 2000 points Terradon army, 2000 Saurus Knights/Carnosaur list but it would cost a lof of money. If I do expand, I'd want more Slanns and Chameleon Skinks, some Kroxigors, Skink Priests and Saurus Guards. A bit embarassed to say nothing is finished yet but I think I'll be painting some more soon. I do have a "1000" points Tzeentch army as well. Fateskimmer is the only one from that army fully painted and based. I don't know if I should post the list here or somewhere else but I have these models: Slann Starmaster Skink Starseer Skink Starpriest Saurus Sunblood Saurus Scar-Veteren on Carnosaur Terradon Chief 16 Saurus Knights 32 Saurus Warriors 36 Skinks Bastildon with Solar Engine 5 Chameleon Skinks Razordon Hunting Pack 2 Terradon Riders
Welcome to Jurassic Park! May I be the first to congratulate you on your choice of army and I love the grand army plans! Make sure you check out all parts of the forum as there are lots of hidden gems. There are lots of painters who can give you great pointers to start off with. Feel free to ask questions as there is always a helpful forumite who can assist you. Enjoy! LoR
Welcome along! What a great start for this amazing army. Feel free to start a painting blog in the painting and conversions subforum and a listbuilding thread in the seraphon armylist subforum. Have fun putting all together and creating your terrain. Grrr, Imrahil
Thank you! I'm not used to forums and despite having painted a lot of models, I do feel like I need help with looking after brushes and painting techniques
Also late. Welcome to Lustria! Don't feel too bad about not having everything finished. I still haven't painted anything, and I've been "playing" AoS for 4 years now.
I'm embarrassed to confess that I haven't painted that many. Only a few models. I don't think I'm that great of a painter, so I haven't done much. But my point is that you've already painted more than me, so you're ahead of the game. Ha ha!
It takes some guts to admit that. Yeah my painting skill or lack thereof is what puts me off painting but in the end it doesn't look awful. I do think if models are primed with grey then it does look surprisingly better than the typical sprue grey
