So I’ve decided to start a thread where I showcase my four armies. I’ve been meaning to lay them out nicely for ages and decided to make it a little project to stave off desperation from lack of games.
Generally speaking, the smaller cases are for monsters or bigger models and the larger cases are for infantry. This is my Lizards, Ogres, Daemons of Khorne and my Tomb Kings.
A truly beautiful sight to behold. Can it be true? It must be false. Say it ain't so. Has our brother fallen to AoS? A a once proud and mighty Knight of the Eight, and among the inner circle no less!
No. I will never become one of the Fallen. It was two Ebay purchases where I didn't f*******g notice the base was oval... and then I MADE THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN!!!!! One of these days I'll confront rebasing it.
And here are my Ogres (yes, there are a couple of round/oval bases, no, I am NOT defecting to AoS, the models are just really hard to find on square bases)
Holy poodle man. If that's not the definition of prolific I don't know what is. How long have you been at it????
I think you missed the memo that I painted NONE of these. It has taken years of work to find all the models and bring them together. Even though I didn't paint them, they make me happy. I had some really bad experiences on painting when I was younger. But thanks to people like you with your amazing painting blogs, this year I will give it another go.
My baaaad yes I did. Nohting to say for myself, I get attracted to pictures I couldn't possibly have thought it hadn't been years even if you found them second hand, you have every right to be happy… Now painting is a different story for sure, but the collecting thing is definitely not the same for me as I am probably the slowest painter ever. It would literally take me decades to get to this point. It's the flipside of trying hard! Hope you'll stick with it though, because it's very rewarding and there are so many brilliant tutorials out there. If you don't know where to start check out the Warhammer tv ones which are a great introduction to the basic mechanics, you'll achieve great results very quickly. Apart from that the community here is quite helpful. (And remember, the thinner your paints, the smoother your effects!) Good luck
Just noticed this is in the fluff section when it should really be in Painting and Converting. @Killer Angel can you do the honours?
I see why you don't want to put it in the painting subforum, but indeed, i struggle to see this into the fluff section. Given that these armies are whfb, how about to find a place into that forum?
