My first model that I have painted for Warhammer, I probably should have started with some small skinks first but I was excited to paint something flashy! (I have painted a couple D&D minis in the past) I learned alot and im excited to see where else this army takes me. Paint scheme inspired from Monster Hunter's Tigrex.
That's an awesome start with Warhammer and welcome! Color scheme is pretty unique and refreshing and once you get into shades/washes and highlights I bet you will have a lot of additional fun haha!
Thank you! I tried washing him but it was a disaster, (had to redo my entire base coat) my new goal is to try colored washes and see how that plays out. I did also attempt highlighting on most of his scales but boy I need to figure out how to get those tiny, smooth lines going. I bought some flow-aid to see if that helps at all for my next attempts and I'm really digging the lore/aesthetic and the game play so far! My lizards keep expanding lol

Fantastic for a first attempt! I can't recommend highly enough looking up instructional videos from Duncan Rhodes on YouTube and also beginners guide to painting by MidWinterMinis. As someone who just restarted painting after 25 years, I found these super helpful.
I will absolutely have to check out the videos! The plants are aquarium plants that I trimmed/painted. Definitely plan on ordering some different ones and touching those up some today I figured out blending a little and I'm doing little hand prints on all my lads. (The skink with the much better shading was todays improvement)
