But it is something you are good at, so you probably shouldn't stop doing it. Based on your like bombings, I thought you read most of the back catalog of past short story contests. I wrote The Huagerdon in April-May 2018.
(dance of victory) First of all, thanks to everyone that joned the comp, in one way or another. Second... well, thanks to everyone that game me a vote. This is the third time i win the comp, and everytime it becomes harder. I will answer to the various reviews of my story... for now i can only say that, while i was writing and polishing it, i knew it was a good piece.... but of course it was a matter of how much good were the other stories. And reading pieces as "Letters of the sea" and "The savage beast", i was doing a mental comparison with mine and i was like "ouch, that will be hard". You guys are great. I really need to find a theme that will honor your skills and will carry the level of this comp to further heights.
I thought it was funny you said this, as it was accurate since the two people who guessed thought I'd written other stories.
...and of course, a special thanks goes to @Paul1748 for the amazing art inspired by my story. I will treasure it, many thanks.
@Paul1748 your picture for Killer Angel's story was totally EPIC!!! I appreciated your one for mine as well, but mid the contest I couldn't say anything as it would have given it away. Did you guess that it was my story? As in response to my comments on the photo, you chose story 9 to do the image...
Thank you. Your appreciation means a lot to me. I couldn't tell it is your story. I just like it a lot.
Humbled to receive the Scalenex Cup. Congrats to @Killer Angel for a deserved win and thanks to everyone who participated, reviewed, or voted! Excellent competition as usual!
