I have no way to change the data analytics of who votes for what, but just from looking at short story contests and poetry contests.

Normally if the number of votes allowed per person in the short story and poetry contests is the number of entries divided by three, rounded down.

    So 1-5 entries = 1 vote
    6-8 entries = 2 votes
    9-11 entries = 3 votes
    12-14 entries = 4 votes
    15-17 entries = 5 votes

16 is the record for most entries. 4 is the record for least entries.

There is usually at least one person per contest who doesn't use every vote. I'm curious if this is the same person or people or if some people just occasionally choose to not use every vote.

If for some reason you think I need to add a poll option, let me know.

Note, the question below is not counting times you skip participating in a contest entirely because obviously if you skip a contest, you aren't using all your votes.

Most people seem to like the 3/entries per vote, rounded down rule, but if you don't like the current system or have ideas for a new way of doing things, please politely explain your position below.

I use all my votes, and only regret that I don't have more. The entries are always phenomenal.

As do I - what's the point in having multiple votes if you don't use them all?

Someone doesn't use all their votes.

We are not mad at you, we are just curious. You have a right to vote as you wish, if you step forward, we won't attack you....I won't anyway.

    I confess...

Back in 2015 I once voted once in a poll where I could have voted twice...on the UnderEmpire...and by mistake. IIRC I PM'd a Mod with an apology... :p

Jokes aside, when I vote I use all my votes. It's hard enough whittling down my choices, so I have to keep in mind how many I can throw my vote to. However, I can understand cases where someone mistakenly votes once. Likewise, I can understand if someone only deems one vote fit to be allocated. An exception where I do not think it is in good spirit is where a single vote is cast for the piece the voter wrote themselves. But, it's not against the rules, so if they want to, there is nothing stopping them.

    I always use them all.
Once there was an instance when i was tempted to skip my last vote, but only because there were 2 stories that were basically on a tie and i was dramatically uncertain about the one not deserving my last vote
