As requested, given that finally Seraphon are entering Direchasm , it's time to open a dedicated thread for discussions, fluff, Q&A, and so on. Will the Starblood Stalkers succeed in their task? Will Kixi-Taka manage to activate the Thermal Detonator? While we wait to discover the play style of the warband and the cards, this is the place for discussion and related news!
https://canyourollacrit.com/2021/03/16/starblood-stalker-cards-reveal/ https://www.warhammer-community.com...kers-the-warband-coming-to-destroy-direchasm/ Some of the "better" information on the gang thats out. Might be a solid warband for a "Feed the Beastgrave " playstyle. Especially since a few of the flip objectives require you to be on them. Thanks again to the staff for the sticky!
...as long as we can be helpful. Now, wouldn't it be nice to have a sort of narrative epic battle, with a sort of apocalypse game with Age of Sigmar, paired with a underworlds game? the "special teams" that fight in the underwords, can unlock certain effects that affect the big battle. that could be done in order (underworld game/s = setting for the big battle), OR simultaneously (if you have enough friends and after COVID): while a group plays the underworlds game, additional effects are triggered on the big battlefield
That sounds like an awesome idea. Sort of like a deepstrike team is sent to complete a task, If they fail the enemy might come in possession of some viable information. And if they succeed you have an advantage. Seems doable Grrr, Imrahil
@Killer Angel that would be pretty rad, a friend and I talked about doing this in 40k with a kill team mission in the where the attackers sneaky team was trying to disable a shield generator/ alarm kinda deal. Not got to try it though! You could get real frisky with it where it's an Underworlds game in a warcry game in an AoS game! Lmao
Hmm, aren't these supposed to be available for preorder today? I can't see them anywhere on the GW website!
https://www.warhammer-community.com...m-the-inside-out-with-the-starblood-stalkers/ Finally! The actual goods! Lol
Yeah I've got a serious (Lizard) man crush on Klaq-Trok myself lol. I was hoping to give these guys a shot anyway, but he kinda sold it lol.
I think we will be a pretty solid warband. Thankfully the skinks aren't total chaff and we have solid reactions. I'm leaning toward maybe an anti-objective feed the Beastgrave esk list for them. Mostly bc I have bad luck with dice rolls and I've been playing it with Hrothgorn's Mantrappers so it's in my wheel house lol. Here's the link for my Hrothgorn deck to give an idea on what I'm talking about. https://www.underworldsdb.com/share...G14,DC448,DC480,B398,B191&format=championship
i thought it was interesting that they were keyworded Thunder lizard and coalesced - as they are the "starblood" stalkers also as they're coalesced, do you think we might be getting some more warbands for the other subfaction?
That is interesting, but quite wrong for Skinks to be in a coalesced army. As far as I can see they would have been beter in starborne. Grrr, Imrahil
I agree with them being a fluffy choice as well, most warbands for some reason are not good for actual AoS. I think Grashrak was the only one I've ever considered lol.
I posted a review of the warband here: https://shiftingobjectives.blogspot.com/2021/03/warhammer-underworlds-starblood.html Spoiler: They're really strong, but hard to play properly.
