Greetings and Salutations, I found a linky to here from the reddit people's earlier this week, after checking thru a few posts this seems like my kind of place. I've been an Argonian since the days of Elder Scrolls Arena and all future games in that world. I was an Iksar since the beta of EverQuests first expansion Kunark and actually the first player to complete every single class item upgrade quest for the Iksar racial items back in the day on a warrior. I've decided recently that I wanted to learn AoS and what better army to use then one that contains my scaled brethren. I've lightly dived into the AoS Lore and like the celestial twist in this shattered world. I've started building a few units over the past year and by a few I mean I have exactly 15 warriors, 3 drummer's, 3 banner's and the other 9 are spearmen. Just traded into a ton of MTG cards and picked up Starwarden Iq-To and his celestial stampede. Just wanted to say heyas. Sissal Stonescale
Welcome to Jurassic Park! Great to have you here! Make sure you check out all areas of the forum as there a lot of guys who can help you learn AoS (and others like me who can help you learn the King of games, 8th edition ) as well as painting and other stuff. Enjoy! LoR
Thanks for the welcome. Never played any fantasy tabletop battles yet and haven't looked into mechanics of AoS or 8e. Though I've got alot of sylvaneth six treelords and a couple score dryad's. That I use for DND models. I do have a bit of 40k experience with my neighbors. I've got a demi-chapter of dark angels (almost 600 firstborn marines) and two great companies of the space wolves one of which has got six full squads of fenrisian wolves and three full packs of riders. I do Dm/Gm three pathfinder or 5e DND games a week over here at my place.
This is the colors I went with for the guard. Alot of details to pick out still on them. Waiting to base til I had enough to consider a unit.. so they all end up matching. For the celestial stampede I'll be going with the colors the shields are made out of.. sorta the reverse of these fifteen warrior's.
Welcome along!! Great stuff so far. Start a blog over at the Painting and Conversions subforum to show your progress and ask for help Love to see more Grrr, Imrahil
Ah, so you also play the trifecta of hobbies (MTG, Warhammer, D and D). I personally don't care much for circular bases, but there are many on this forum who will love to give you advice on AOS. Welcome!
