Here's a display base that I made for showing off my Lizardman units at Adepticon and Games Day

Looks really cool! Did you carve in the symbols or did you just paint it? And how big is that thing? :p

Ah, that's amazing! I love those glyphs! What is it going to display?

    Thanks! :walkingdead:

The symbols were carved, and then painted. I displayed my salamander units on them, and even one of my smaller skink/krox units.

    Looks awesome!
What's the material for the base? If it's carved, wood, stone?

Sculpey, a bakeable clay, as well as cork, were the materials. There are numerous posts on this method on the blog in the 'basing techniques' section.

Great to see you haven't forgotten Lizzies in your tutorial video and Tomb Kings fever (not that I mind, I actively follow your posts on the TK forum). And that base looks stunning, I'm really eager to see what kind of paint magic you'll conjure on those Salamanders!

Looks very nice, really like your mix of colours.

Do you use GW paints or vallejo paints?

I use just about every brand there is... Reaper, GW, Vallejo, PPress, Coat D'Arms, Secret Weapon, you name it. Sometimes out of necessity, sometimes by choice. There are some that are 'favorites', but often I just have to make do with what is at hand... o_O :clown:
