As hopefully people have read, possibly the only infant t.rex fossil in the world is on sale for 2.95 million on eBay. As a paleontology fanatic, this is possibly one of the most horrifying things possible. Multiple news outlets have wrote on this, and is definitely worth examining. If you can raise awareness on this and spread the word, please do as we do not want it to end up in some private collection for decades. This fossil is possibly more valuable in scientific research than Sue is, and belongs to science and the public. Anything from spreading awareness to raising funds would be helpful in the hopes a museum can buy it for study.

Museums and research universities buy-sell fossils all the time. Is it horrifying because eBay is involved? Edit: Sotheby’s would be a better choice??
Yes actually, seeing as the fossil could end up in some private collection and has the possibility of never being studied. With museums trading/lending fossils among each other this means that the fossil still is studied and open for view.
