Just heard back about color options for the 20mm dice. We have 13 options, but I've gone ahead and cut 3 already since they were similar colors.

    Pick your 3 favorite colors

    Gemini Blue-Green & Gemini Purple-Red

    Gemini3BlueGreen.jpg PurpleRed.jpg

    Lustrous Purple & Lustrous Shadow

Scarab Blue Blood & Scarab Jade

Scarab Royal Blue & Scarab Scarlet

Leaf Black Gold & Vortex Burgundy

    LeafBlackGold.jpg Vortex_Burgundy.jpg

(Blue-Black, Red-Black, Velvet Black were cut)

    Alternatively...

If you hate all these colors, we are still able to order them in the 22mm size for some speckled dice options. Those are posted here: Custom Artillery Dice Tryouts. If there are enough people who protest, we can still switch back to larger dice. Please state your distaste below if so.

Thanks everyone. A new sample should be available soon.

    EDIT:
    Yay! Polls work! :smug:

I like this color selection better than the specked options, personally.

    Yay for working polls!

I voted, but I do wonder if it might be worth delaying the poll until pics of the demo cuts are available. That way people will be able to gauge how the dice will look with different colours.

    PS> So excited!

I don't think a poll particularly matters at this stage as there's a huge amount of free range with the colours.

The one thing I will say and needs to be taken into account by everyone is:

If you want the 6 to be the symbol, you will be quite limited as to what colours you can have! Please refer to the thread link below for full options.

    http://www.lustria-online.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12287&start=20

However, going on the colours above alone, I would like

    Lustrous Purple: for artillery dice
    Scarab jade: for D3

(and the phantom teal is for my own D6)

I'm late to the party on these custom dice. What's the story on them and how do I get in on it? ;)

Right now you can just sit back and wait :smug:

I wasn't planning on having Chessex make a sample for every single color. The main intention of the sample dice in my mind was to nail the design, like the arm issue that Bob noticed.

The intention of the vote was to cut this down to 4ish colors for everyone to choose the final product from, however I suppose we don't have to limit the options.

Correct. I will be personally handling the order and mailing everyone their dice, even to Europe. All you have to do is pay your part before I submit the order. :smug:

Hi Rikard, thanks for the coordination. I don't think the "limited" colors are an issue for the 6. The list of colors is pretty large and it looks like we would get most of the Gemini set of colors, which look pretty good to me. I can't wait to get these!

Is there any clue to when the order will be possible?

    Really, any will do :)

So what constitutes a full set?

    Snack Dice -

Sallies can now run unit sizes of 1+. Is anyone likely to go above the traditional 3 Sallies in a pack? With the old Sallie rules, each shot was resolved separately. Also the FAQ indicated that the first misfire stops the rest of the unit shooting. A full set of dice for Sallies would have been 1.

New Sallies rules says it is a shooting attack, and that all must shoot "towards the same target". BRB shooting rules don't say not to roll every dice separately (20 poison blowdarts, one at a time. I don't get invited back to peoples places for games very often) but the shooting rules are clearly not designed for this purpose. The Fire Thrower rules don't allow for a multi model unit firing. So being practical, laying 3 templates on the table overlapping and converging on a small unit, then rolling simultaneous snack dice is not going to work. For a start each has a slightly different angle, and range too, unless you unit is bang on straight. You would pick and choose from your randomly assigned dice to select the most auspicious - it could be be the difference between an overshoot and a a glancing hit. In the process you bump your other 2 templates and mess things up. And then you have a 50/50 chance of rolling a misfire and ending the phase - which is undesirable.

So Bob says, roll 'em separately as usual. Nothing else makes sense. Full set of dice is 1. And 1 D3 for the serving size.

Razordons. Unit size 1+ This one you could roll 1 or more snack dice to determine number of barbs shot. But rolling 3 gives you a 50/50 of misfiring again.

So Bob says, only let your opponent see 1 artillery dice at a time. Don't even let him know you have a different colour for every day of the week. Full set = 1.

    D3 / Scatter

I think the maximum number of these would be 7 (D6+1 sharpened horns impact hits, each wound multiplier rolled separately BRB p73) Full set = 7

    Lizard-y 6s

Spear Saurus, horde formation, receiving charge. Full set = 40 dice.
EDIT EDIT EDIT That should be 51 attacks including the spawn leader (21 front rank, 20 supporting spears, 10 more for horde - now you just need to always go up against goblins so your foes can have a wide enough frontage to feel all that cold-blooded love)

I can't find the prices, but I think D6x40 (now 51), D3x7 and Snack Dice x1 could mean starvation for my children.

    Well worth it, I say!

    Soon, my precious. Very soon...

Chessex is making a few more samples for us right now. *Should* be able to start taking pledges next week.

I'd argue that you can roll the Snack Dice for Razordons all at once. If you roll a misfire it's only the Razordon that rolled it who suffers. The rest in the pack should still be able to shoot. Regardless, I'm getting more than one that's for sure.

I'll find out about prices soon also.

Those look all shades of awesome, very impressed as I did have some doubts as to how they would translate to dice.
