Work on troglodon continue ... with a base
Your bases are epic!
I have long struggled with the back.
I really like working with purple. Purple color around the mouth, teeth and claws. Like poison sac under the jaw should express strong toxicity, which this monster abound. I did not know how to make a dorsal bone, I finally left the bones and skin scaly greenish-red and the membrane between the shoulder bones purple. I hope you like it.
Your bases are to die for
and your models ofc
On the bases , you can see runes and eyes of the statue shineing. This represents activation of the temple in the swamps during the arrival of the army.
The paint jobs are incredible and your bases are amazing, they complement each other brilliantly.
Hey guys what is that Trophy points ?
@kubapj : that is some epic level workmanship there. The base is fantastic. The orange, purple and green on the Trog look fantastic. The orange especially really pops.
You're awarded trophy points for reaching certain milestones on the forum. The complete list is as follows...
Reaching them all nets you 113 trophy points.
@kubapj : Also, could you tell me how you achieved that orange effect? What colours did you use and what technique(s) did you use to apply them?
It really turned out well, it is so vibrant!
Your bases have such amazing contrast, and I love the tiny sculpted leaves strewn about. Also that troglodon is fantastic, and the orange on him is so bright and eye-catching. /10 stars
Ty a lot. I1st you have to take the darkerst tone thaw you have ( depends on color what do you wanna use - green, red ac.).
Then you draw the lighter the color of the scales. Subsequently take another lighter color and finer brush do the same. Then again, take a lighter color paint smaller brush prior and repeating the process
, until you get to the white color, which to me represents the bone.
Personally, I imagine how my monster moves around. Or how it grows. For example, my Kroxigorns have whitish scales made solely on the shoulders. It is story behind it. Kroxigorns use they shoulder to wearing massive blocks of stones and alsoare scratched from work on the pyramids. Or that it is being used to charge the enemy.
Excellent work, I love how you have captured the teeth and the orange on his shoulders looks like worn leather excellent detailing.
Awesome. Thank you.
Which specific colours did you use on the orange sections of the model?
Your WIPs are better than most people's paintings. Definitely better than mine
Well done! Lovely bases, they are exquisitely painted. And beautiful scale work on the troglodon.
For the star to the end -
evil sunz scarlet
wild rider red
troll slayer orange
fire dragon bright
But some colors i skip il the skale isnt that big.
