Hi guys i have just started painting my carnousar. It's still unfinished. I have to paint the scales in red and orange and fix some details and minor errors. Hope you like it.
Looks good so far. I like the skin color. I'd of made the scales base color darker though. But he is looking good.
Looks good so far. Once you get a few more layers of paint and some washes on there, it will look awesome.
Welcome to Lustria! I like your choice of colours, nice work so far. Keep it up, the carnosaur is a fantastic model.
It looks very nice! Seeing the carnousar like this makes me tempted to get one of my own. Keep up the good work!
Thank you all guys! A little update here. I start working in the scales and head. It will be finished soon. Then i will paint kro-gar.
hi! the pictures are a bit fuzzy but I really like your job! the scales could use a darker tone and some more distinct highlights, but yea nice work!
Photos are a bit fuzzy because they were taken with the mobile phone camera. Next time I will take them with my real camera ( that was low of battery ) . Today I'm ill, i have catched a cold and I can't paint. Lets see tomorrow, I will work on the scales, they need more hightlights, and that is . I want to finish soon, i have bought a cold's one unit and I have to paint them too
So, here's another update. I think its the last one, at least with the carnosaur, i will also update when i paint kro-gar. I have fix some things, repaint the eye, which i think is now better, and make some lights and shadows in both the scales and skin. Hope you like it !
it may be the picture, but i cant really see any highlights at all on the scales. be warned though, i like my models with very VERY high contrast. you may be one of those more realistic guys who prefer much less contrast.
I have to agree with Lord Tsunami here. A bit more highlighting would make the model stand out much better. Even if the edging looks nice in close ups it might not show that good in the tabletop. One thing that I got to say though is that even though your painting and colour scheme is ace and I like a lot the way you have done the metal parts. I think those gaps between arms and such almost ruin the quality of the paintjob. A little bit of greenstuff to fill the gaps would have made it. BR Agrem
Not too late to be fixed, before painting it seems to be good, but then i prime and yeah, there were quite BIG gaps. I'm going to fix it today. Tomorrow i have an university physics exam and i dont have enough time, but i promise to post more pics with the scales highlighted. Thank you for your comments.
if you check on the GW carnosaur, you can see that the edge highlight is quite pronounced, even if the overall color of the scales is quite dark and similar to yours. GL with the exam
Another update here. No time at all to paint but anyway here it is: -Gaps fixed. -Scales highlighted To do : Another tiny highlight to the scales. More contrast on the skin. And that is, i have basecoated kro gar and i have just recieved 7 cold ones. Too much to paint
