The NMM on his top shoulder plate is awesome. I mean, it is everywhere, but I really like that part for some reason. Probably just because it's got the complete transition. Also, how the heck did he get that pupil so small?
Wow that is some skill... But I have two complaints I'm not a huge fan of the colors he chose for the skin But he definitely did an awesome job painting those colors! And two, because of the amazing paint job I was shown a flaw I hadn't seen before in this model (which sucks because I really love it), those legs... We are looking at one beastly dude with tons of armour!!!! And a pair of legs that look like he shouldn't be able to walk... It reminds me of Johnny Bravo..
Ha! Yeah, he kind of does have chicken legs. Amazing what details are brought out with this paint job.
That's a beautiful model. I really like the colours. I spent months painting non-metallic gold on the same model last year, so it's really interesting to me to see another interpretation of the technique. I've just spent the last 15 minutes with photos of mine side by side with this one, criticizing myself on the things I've done wrong and feeling proud at the things I felt I did better.
That metal work is insane! I love the gems as well especially along the head-dress. I really need to put more effort into my metal work. Good spot!
