Welcome to the jungle, we got fun and games! starting a blog to show off my painting and basing. might help me get out of my rut and work on my collection of lizardmen/seraphon ive had since i was roughly 10 years old (12 years of collecting atm). i intend to get at least 1 of every lizardmen/seraphon unit ever produced with each variant made. for example; at LEAST 1 unit for all 3 sculpts of Saurus Warriors all in my faction colours. join me on my ride if you wish!
My Saurus Warriors colour schemes. tried to show a bit of an evolution through out the ages by adding different colours to the newer sculpts
Welcome to Lustria! Nice colour scheme on those Saurus, I especially like the grey with the red. Very cute cat too
Haha thanks! I’ve been here since 2018. Just been stalking more than actually posting/commenting. But coming back to the hobby after like 2 years hiatus I’m gonna be in full swing! The colour scheme took me way too long to settle on. But I decided to stick with an old colour scheme my dad and I went with like 12 years ago. And thank you she’s a needy little baby lmao
Good start of a painting blog. I love the colorscheme with the red and grey, specifically the gradient if red scales is looking great. Keep up the good work! Grrr, !mrahil
I am not quite a fan of these metal sculpts so I would vote 'not to open' But that is personal preference Good luck deciding Grrr, !mrahil
I think you could sell those two for at least price of box with three plastic ones (if not two boxes). Blast from the past.
ya i think i should just keep them sealed for now since they're so rare sealed. gonna try to find a few metal ones on ebay to add to my growing vintage to modern collection
got my Dread Saurian the other day. glued it together and greenstuff'd some gaps left by the previous owner and left it over night. started working on it at 8 am the next day and started painting it at roughly 10 am after fixing some extra gaps i missed and letting the putty cure for a little bit. 10 pm i ended painting for the night because my hand was super sore from holding this goliath of a model for 12 hours almost non-stop. still have some work to do around the mouth, rubble, extra blue accents, and redoing the gems. scared to do the blue accents but gotta get 'er done sometime! C&C is very much welcome!
took a bit of an extended break from painting and modelling due to work and other unforseen circumstances, but now i think its back to the painting grind. finished this converted Kroxigor Ancient/Nakai the Wanderer earlier today. super happy with the end result. incase anyone was wondering what the helmet was made from, i used the center bit from the Kroxigor Warspawns weapon on the head with the nub trimmed to fit nicely. then used the feathers off of 2 older saurus warrior banners to give it some horizontal volume and used the head spike off one of the Saurus Oldbloods spare heads from the Carnosaur kit. then i used some spikes found on the Carnosaur's saddle to make the ivory off the helmet. i mainly designed it to resemble the Kroxigor heroes from the Total War series as i love the details from there. any and all C&C is welcome and appreciated! will also be sticking with this scheme on all of my lizardmen from now on, may post my armies lore in a short story as well in the near future if i get time to refine and expand upon it
C&C needed. First time doing NMM and I’m happy with the current result however not happy with how dark it is. I want it to be gold but it just comes out as very brown. Paints used are: Rhinox Hide, XV-88, Balor Brown, Ushabti Bone, and Wraithbone. Was recommended a glaze of Yriel Yellow but it almost covered all of the work to I quickly rubbed it off before it could dry. Any tips or recommendations?
