So I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I just read Florin and Lorenzo Haute cuisine. It's a short story after both came back from Lustria and took an egg with them. However, while I thought it was "just" a dinosaur, they did mention coming across it in Lustria (hoping to never see it again, neigh invisible) which made it sound like Skinks (though Florin did say he didn't know their name). Does anyone know if they were Dinosaurs or Lizardmen? Because I'm really trying to dig into the lore behind them.
Could be the egg of Quango, a jab at an item in other works. Or could be a dread saurian egg. I haven't read the story, so not quite sure what you're referring to.
