I haven't played it for about 3 months been too busy playing Battlefield 4 and Starwars Battlefield. I was playing as Chaos and just found it became a tad boring.
@Crowsfoot Yes I've tried playing Chaos as well but the whole horde faction can get a little boring I agree. I've had a blast with the other races though. I really think they succeeded in making a good warhammer game
I played VC but made loads of bad decisions in the early game and got stomped, maybe it is worth another play through.
@Crowsfoot I'd say it is for sure! Especially now that Vlad von Carstein has arrived! He looks so badass haha
I havent played the computer game of it since like dawn of war ? or something when i was in school - it had space marines etc in - i might consider getting the game for my steam if it has lizardmen
@SlanntaClause It doesn't have them yet, but the developers have pretty much promised us they will come! They aim to give us all the races of 8th edition - for a considerable fee per race of cause I'd say it's worth it though. It is a lot of fun And Dawn of War is still an awesome game haha. I have put a lot of hours into it!
Hmm, I might consider it still then but y steam list is mostly consisted of free to play and gifted games ^.^ the occasional one I've bought myself is on Christmas or summer sales - let me know when they release Lizardmen and i'll seek your professional gaming opinion on whether I should empty my wallet
Haha I'm really far far away from the professional gamer title - I have like 6 games in my steam library I'm really just a warhammer lore fan, so I enjoy games like this Anyway I'll let you know for sure when they arrive
Temple Guard Project Three more guys are finished! I might have went a little over the top with the plastic plants... I just like them so much One small consideration came to mind. Right now I use both the plastic plants and small tufts. Does it look wierd that they are together since it's not really the same "style"? I could keep them seperated so both of them are not on a single base. Let me know what you think. The thought just struck me today
Thank you @Crowsfoot! I'll stick to it then I've grown quite fond of making bases with tufts or plastic plants seeing what it can do for a model. It can really make a difference
Two more are finished! I had a lot of fun with the standard bearer. I want the feathers on top to look a bit more interesting, but I'm not that good at blending, so right now they're pretty plain. I will come back to them later All in all this regiment is coming together quite quickly I feel. I still have a lot more guys to do of cause. I think I will paint 15 instead of all 20. Simply because I don't want to rush my painting that much (the upcoming match is next weekend). I still want to be happy with the results when I finish them so 15 is more realistic I think I hope you like them!
That standard is awesome! Both the musician and standard bearer look great. Classic style and done so well! That shield is brilliant. Looks so good.
Thanks a lot @Bowser! I really appreciate it It's always nice when people comment and you are always so positive haha It's great motivation! I have started on the champion of the unit and he's well on his way. Luckily there's been no extra work in this weekend at all so I actually have time to paint. It's so great
I'm making progress on my riders as well as my Temple Guard. I had no real experience painting leather (or cloth in general since Lizardmen doesn't really have any...) but I got a nice tip from Jorgik involving a yellowish brown since I wanted the saddles to look worn and old. At first I lightly drybrushed the whole saddle with this color and then I moved on to paint thin lines on the most razed areas. I quite like it actually and this guy is now ready for further painting Further tips on anything is always welcome!
5 more skull loving lizards! And the Champion of the regiment aswell! I will post a group shot of the whole unit of 15 guys later today or tomorrow I hope you like them!
These guys look incredible! Wonderful looking unit. The colours are vibrant and well put together. That champion is killer. Amazing work here.
