A beginner ? Well I am already painting for a year, slowly painting to do my best and those scales look way deeper and clearer than any of the 33 warriors I have painted so far. Can't have the excuse of the bad sculpt after seing your result !

A very nice start, not alot wrong with that warrior.

I like your colour scheme only thing I would do is maybe in lay the weapon with black or Incubi darkness and maybe the teeth and claws on the shield could be shaded a tad more at the base.

Excellent start and looking forward to seeing more.
