    The Daemons all rushed forward, the chariot and bloodletters on one side of the pyramid and the rest of the army on the other side. The Lizardmen shuffled around, preparing to either recieve the charge or charge the Daemons in kind. The Skinks rushed forward, knowing their duty of once again diverting the attention of the Daemons. The shooting saw some Flesh Hounds flamed, Chosi-Raz failing to cast any spells again. The Daemons suddenly appeared cautiously, only the Chariot being distracted by the ranked Skinks, who fled for fear of the danger it could wreak upon the Lizardmen lines. The Daemons then turned to face prospective targets, waiting to get the perfect charge in one the Lizardmen.

    The Skinks rallied, their general roaring keeping them in line. The Lizardmen still shuffled around, not wanting to expose themselves to any charges. The Terradons dropped their rocks on top of one unit of Hounds, crushing half of them with their rocks and dropping another with their javelins. The Salamander retreated into the woods, fearing the charge of the hounds. The Stegadon's giant bow did nothing, the bolt missing the Hounds completely. The other Skinks in front of a Bloodletter unit killed two, trying to damage the unit before they were inevitably charged. The Daemons were still very cautious, the hounds declaring a charge and running down the unit of Skinks who failed to escape their ravenous jaws. The Chariot moved a little forward, trying to sneak by the ruins of the temple.

    With a roar the Kroxigors charged the Hounds. The Salamander came out of hiding with the Hound threat gone. The Stegadon turned around and released a bolt at the chariot, wounding the Herald on top. The Terradons dropped the Hound unit to a single hound and the Skinks moved again to distract the chariot. The Salamanders volleyed flamed half the unit of Bloodletters, and the Skinks tried to wound the chariot without success. The Kroxigor's axes only felled one Hound and the Hounds leaped at the slow-witted lizards, dropping one and breaking them, shredding the remainder with their claws.

    The Chariot charged the Skinks again, this time catching them as they failed to flee far enough. The Bloodletters moved up, finally beginning to threaten the Saurus. The Hounds turned around to face the Lizardmen again, with the single Hound just sitting there. The Stegadon charged the flank of the Bloodletter killing a third of the unit with its impact alone. The Terradons charged the lone Hound and Chosi-Raz finally succeeded in getting a spell of, one that increased the Salamanders firepower. The energized Salmanders killed half the Bloodletters again, and the Terradons finally finished off the single Hound. The Stegadon crushed more Bloodletters underfoot and the Skinks aboard managed to spear one with their javelins. Even more Bloodletter evaporated into the Daemonic Realm.

    The depleted Daemon forces regrouped and faced prospective charges, the chariot facing some Saurus, and the unengaged Bloodletters facing the Salamander, with some Hounds backing them up. The Stegadon killed even more Bloodletter, but the units still remained. Both units of Saurus charged, one into the engaged Bloodletters and the other into the chariot. The Salamander backed up, putting some distance between the Daemons and themselves. The Herald on the chariot challenged Hexec, who accepted and was promptly killed for his efforts. The stalwart Saurus held, though the loss of their leader seriously weakened their morale. The other Saurus killed four Bloodletters and with the help of the Stegadon, caused the rest of the unit and the Herald to disappear into the Daemonic Realm.

    The Herald charged out of the Bloodletters at the Salamanders who fled into the jungle, never to be seen again. The Saurus held out again, even though their numbers dwindled because of the Herald. At this point not much could be done except shoot the remaining Daemon units. The chariot broke the Saurus who were overrun. Chosi-Raz surveyed the battlefield, the Lizardmen had triumphed again, though the cost was great.

    At the end, he had half a unit of Bloodletters and Hounds left, with two of his Heralds alive, the one in the chariot at half wounds. I had a unit of Saurus, the Terradons, the Stegadon, the Skink Chief, and my Skink Priest. When I broke the Bloodletter unit he was basically lost. I played avoidance for the rest of the game basically and just shot anything he had remaining. The Heralds were rock hard and I only managed to kill one. Hexec died again, like he does every game and I am still not sold on the usefulness of the Skink Chief, though he was still taking at least a wound off a Hound unit a turn. Against a Khorne list, my magic did not do too much, but helped the Salamander on one turn. Hope you enjoyed reading, I will really try to have pictures next game!

    Nice and clear battle report.
    Well played, deserved victory.

    Then again, that list is not that mobile. 2 fast (hound) threats. 1 Chariot threat. 2 big infantry blocks.
    Take out (either by march blocking, redirecting or simply killing) 2 of the faster threats. Avoid the other.
    Get half points for something, anything really :p, and it's game over!

    Then again, if he goes for flamers, plaguebearers and all the goodies;
    you stand no chance.

    Thanks for writing this up!
