TOW Master Blaster-2000 pt

    Here is a 2000 point list concentrating on magic missiles. Have 5 bound MM spells plus what the wizards end up with. The slann can pick another one for sure. Got a couple small bricks to help out. Could be interesting. Any thoughts?

    Interesting list. But I should try to play some skirmish to use as screen or to scout. Removing lodestones and banner. May ask why necromancy to the Slann?

    Necromancy is for curse of years. Hope to reduce toughness for the saurus blocks.

    Lodestones is quite useless since you have already a caster level 4 to dispel.

    I've tried a similar list (fireball bound, 2x Bastiladon, Ancient Steg and High Magic) and it felt a bit underwhelming. Most opponents have a lvl 4 to dispel so you're not going to get a lot of turns where you can get them all off.

    Bastiladon missile is nice though when it goes off.

    Necromancy is nice IMO for Leadership spells ... (-2 Ld Hex , -1 Ld Vortex ) add to that Curse of the years (-1 Ws , -1M & -1 T) and very good MM 3d6 St2 no ArmSv you got probably best Lore if you go with a lot of "Terror" units ... Bastiladons are nice but casting at 9+ with Spell level 2 is closed to 50% chance of casting . So for me is the better solution invest points in Ancient Stegies with Engines

    Yeah but Stegadon have a 15” range. And they can fail too cast too. Last but not least there are 100 points of difference. I don’t think one is better than another. They just have different purpose and rolls. Bastiladon is more defensive , try to avoid melee and block enemies to get a flank. Shooting in the while. Stegadon have a much more offensive and melee roll
