Hi guys. I'd like to get the communities thoughts on a new matte varnish spray to try for protecting my latest batch of lizards. I used to use the old purity seal spray from GW, but after getting hit by a bad frosting on my last batch I swore never again. I know this may have been discussed before but now that it's 2015 I'd like to hear what is working best for you. Thanks in advance.
The best one in the market in my opinion is TESTORS DULL COAT i tried a lot before I discovered this one and for me it has worked wonderfully!!
There was just a mini review of Liquitex Professional Matte Varnish on DakkaDakka: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/650255.page I was going to give it a try as I can actually find that from a local store (Clas Ohlson for all you Nordic lizards out there), unlike the Testors everybody keeps recommending *grumble grumble*
bah, he beat me to it. good stuff. I found that "krylon artist's matte finish spray" was pretty decent as well.
Awesome. Thanks for the input guys. I don't think I could bear cleaning up the wreckage from another mass frosting event. Is there any place in particular to get a good price on the testors product or should I just hit up the usual places like amazon, ect..
testors is usual sold any place that has plastic models or train sets. I actually Found the Krylon in Wal-Mart, but it can also be found in hardware stores and art stores.
