Thought i'd start posting my lizardmen - pretty new to painting as i've just started collecting really Most of my lizards are purple and my skinks are pink (warlock purple) Wasn't a big fan of the blue lizards in all honesty. Still deciding what to paint my terradons as, but my cold ones are all different colours - 2 blue, 2 green, 2 red, 1 pink and 1 black. WIll add those when i get a chance . Feel free to be constructive as it helps me improve
Here's some more: Sorry for the bad quality of most of the images: Currently working on my saurus warriors and kroixgors so will upload soon. WIll also get a better picture of my temple guard Again my apologies for all the images //syn
I thought for a while but I can't think of anything other than wow I like those and keep up the good work
Thank you Currently working on 40 saurus warriors and some skinks now - Then to figure out the best method for basing them jungle style. //syn
Looks good. I like the colour on the temple guard in particular. And the orange lizard w/ the black spots on the palanquin is awesome. love it! With the stegadon, once you throw in the skinks, it's a lot of one colour on that model. I feel like my eyes can't really pick out the detail. Just a thought for next time. For taking photos, you might try either taking them outside in good natural light, or getting several desk lamps to light the model, don't use the flash. You'll get much better results, especially if you use a photo editor to correct the white balance. Looking forward to seeing how you base everything! You've got a really vibrant army, and a good base really brings the models alive.
Yeah i though that myself with my stegadon, was going to do a blue or green but was shy on funds as i already had some reds freely available. But will take it on board next time. I agree with the lighting issues aswell, though being dark 80% of the day in the UK atm i will struggle to take them properly, i'll try and find another lamp . As it stands i have several variations of aquariam plastic plants i'm going to try, i'll upload a picture if you like so i can get some suggestions for editing them. Also going to be using two different types of cooking herbs and jungle tufts for the bases. Thanks for your input //syn
Here's what i have to use for some bases/movement trays - though not sure how to arrange them - ihave loads. //syn
Not sure how you mean in honesty - the images weren't the best to get a feel of the size i think i should have shown them next to a model or on the base, They're medium ish size, but the leaf style ones tend to fill up a base pretty easy. It seems a little busy with them on top of each other ( testing these on a salamander base) so they look a bit busy maybe - or a bit dominating. Not sure how to attach them either, green stuff is a new thing to me. //syn
Thanks for the kind words so far guys, been a bit busy with uni work lately - but will upload some pics of my skinks when i get home. Been browsing a lot of the forum to try and pic up some sculpting knowledge, but pics to come later today. //syn
Incoming pics Still not based as want to paint my army fully and base at the same time - Got another 40 saurus to paint though then I'm done for now Lots of green stuff attempts after Christmas and basing ideas to go along with it.
Wow. That was a lot and fast. Are you using the army painter dip by chance? Temple guard base the style you are going with for all of it?
Not sure what the army painter is (?) I've got a campaign coming up lately and uni work was slow so i had alot of spare time to paint . The temple guard were already based when i brought them, which was a shame, but i'm going to add stuff to the top of them as i don't like it and have big plans for jungle bases. //syn
Wow, nice work. Got a lot done it seems and I really like the varied colors you have used on the terradons and cold ones. Really like the Carnosaur as well, looks awesome!
