Anyone interested seeing in-progress pics? This Troglodon is taking a long time. It's like painting a small country.

    +1 to this!

Also, your rippers are awesome and the freehand work on your two skink chiefs there is freakin' amazing! And I absolutely love, love, love what you did with the cold one! Truly inspirational stuff. Where did you get the feathers for him?

It feels like I'm not making any progress at all on this model. To be fair though, I'm only painting it privately while working on my elves socially.

Oh, and the feathers on that cold one were all from Saurus standards. Got a million of them.

Your Troglodon's looking sooooo amazing! @_@

Did you need to use an airbrush for any of that? Or did you do all that blending with a brush? (One day, I would like to attempt painting such a beastie, but I have no airbrush, so I'm not sure I'd be able to get results as nice as I see in other peoples' armies :p)

It's all done by hand, I can't get my head around airbrushes. I just use a lot of medium in place of water.

Lol, I feel you on the feathers from the standards, now I have about 100 of em sans feathers jsut waiting to be used on some project! Love your stuff, very fluid and natural looking. And dont worry about being a covert lizard in elf skin, when the time is right to pounce your meta will never see it coming!

Thanks! I'm certainly getting there. I've considered applying for the 'Eavy Metal team. I just worry that if it becomes a job I'll hate it. I spoke to some of the painters at last year's Games Day and those deadlines sound harsh.

    Just the Citadel Lahmian Medium.

I am very much amazed by your work! It is awesome!

Did you carve the scales on the skink-chief or paint them there?

It's all painted. Carving tiny scales? That would be nuts!

Something to share, the chief of the stone feather tribe. Still a bit of gap filling to be done.

    Thanks for the insight, Neveroddoreven!

Any chance for a brief step-by-step on your application/use of the medium? :O I've never dabbled in it before, but it sounds promising, judging by your results! :)
