Hey all, I've got a straight Seraphon army. I've played against my buddy's Skaven army a few times now and get trounced each time, partly because we're still working on understanding the rules, and partly because I feel like I'm not building lists and strategizing properly. So I was hoping you all wouldn't mind giving me some advice on what to field for a 1000 and 2000 army, or where I can add some pieces I'm missing Below is everything I have: 1x Bastilidon 1x Scar-vet on Carnosaur 1x Slann 2x Skink Priest 2x Skink Starpriest 8x Saurus Knights 5x Temple guards +60x skinks +60x saurus warriors
get yourself a chromatic cogs and a bale wind and use the slann summoning engine. take as many skinks as you can and a starpriest
With 1000 pt matches i like to play -slann (as general) with great rememberer Spell: meteoric convocation -skink starpriest -old blood on carno As battleline 2x10 skinks And a bastilladon in your List you should have some points left for some knights, i would prefer 3 razordons (you could prox them just for a tryout) beside that erta wanderer is right, get some endless spells and (after the new tome release imo) an astrolith bearer and you Van play interesting summoning lists. But with 1k there is not a lot of room for that. There is a whole thread about summoning which explains everything really well, you should check that out
How would I utilize the starpriest? At least looking at the warscrolls it seems like the skink priest is more useful Do you happen to have a link to that thread?
he can cast one of the endless spells turn one it just gets the summoning engine going faster and his starlight spell is amasing. the priest is only good with a unit that actually has a save like bastiladons but they get it better in thunder quake
