We want to start a small PtG campaign in TTS in our club. After reading the rules, I have the follwing questions:

    1) Are the allegience abilities in use? Or you only get warscroll abilities, realm spells and gain artefacts only by Rewards?

    2) Are the scenarios limited by 7 in the book, or there were any additions, like in the white dwarf?

    Thank you in advance!

It's your campaign, so I suppose no one is stopping you from using other scenarios (even made-up ones)

as seraphon, the book states you get the seraphon and coalesced battle traits. so thats picking an asterism, -1 damage +1 jaws and ignore bravery modifiers

Couple of questions. The book says battle traits on page 55 apart from the coalesce constellation battle trait, but you can't use any other seraphon allegiance abilities. Are you sure it is both the standard seraphon and coalesced battle traits? I really don't know.

Another questionoquestion is do wizards still pick from the spell lore page? If not, how does the battle trait contemplations of the ancient ones, where the slann picks a new spell from the spell lore list, work?

Its stated page 55, otherwise it would specifically say to only use the coalesced battle traits. Im unsure of how wizards and spell lore are used but path to glory is very much a template to create you’re own campaign.

3 friends and i rebalanced the tables of our armies to even them out and played a campaign, we didnt use the spell lores

If you don't mind sharing a little, how did you rebalance your army tables? One my friends plays SCE and feels his tables are underpowered.

Basically we did our army rolls as each of our books told us to and looked at the starting points. Lowest was 400, highest was over 1000. For example legions of nagash could have a vampire lord on zombie dragon and 4 follower rolls meanwhile seraphon can have a slann and 2. Almost a 200 point difference on the general and Twice and many starting Units

Seeing this we took time to adjust starting heroes, unit sizes and unit tiers so that the average points values of units was closer.

I love the first half, the second half seems... kinda why-ish. you double the number of razor/salamanders, but also double the rolls to get them. that means the ratio was fine to begin with. and 3 rolls on a basti or steg is way too much... you are effectively claiming they are as good as a stonehorn… which isn't even a close comparison before you get to the 80 pt difference between the basti and beastrider stonehorn

the reason was so that i couldn't just keep rolling for salamanders after every game, otherwise almost everything would just be a 1 roll. the idea was to tier units and balance the points. 1 rolls roughly 100 points, 2 rolls roughly 160-180 mark, 3 rolls mid 200s. doesn't work for every unit but you do what you can to balance it out.

also im not saying a basti is as good as stone horn, don't see where thats come from. if a stone horn is a 3 roll in that book then i don't get what you're on about since we didn't balance the tables with stone horns. we just did the 4 armies we played.

it worked pretty well, 20 skinks for a roll was too much though. i would change that to 15, other than that the tables balanced well

I was using a storn horn because it is three rolls in the Maw tribe PtG rules. but even if we keep with your tables, your saying a basti or stega is as good as a terrorghiest… which is still not close.

You are acting as though ive said that the tables shown there are balanced with all of the armies in the game. We only did 4 armies so obviously if you take any other book its not going to match up, if we had ogors in there aswell we wouldnt have a stonehorn grouped into the 3 rolls with a bastiladon.
Behemoths are hard to balance since as soon as you get over the 200 point mark the differences between units spikes. Personally i dont think what a stegadon brings vs what a terrorgheist brings to a path to glory is so crazily unbalanced that they should be rolls apart

(P.S the legions player rolled and got a zombie dragon and they lost)

all im saying is we balanced those 4 armies against eachother, only those 4, no other books involved, and it was competetive, fair and lots of fun. We all had similar points armies by the end. Good time was had by all

no I am acting like I asked a question as to why you did the second half of your house rule the way you did, which you have answered in your last response, and then I was trying to ascertain the logic behind the changes, given the comparatives by you that didn't add up.
