Poll: PICK 2 - The best of the Chaos gods!

Nurgle and Slaanesh.
I like the plague-ness of Nurgle. Very chaos and daemonic. I have an all Nurgle daemon army. I also have a Nurgle themed Chaos army.
I have been contemplating a Slaanesh themed army. I like the fluff of this chaos god. Anyone can be seduced to the darkside with pleasure and need fulfillment. I remember one gaming colleague many years ago with a Slaanesh themed army. All his banners (hand made) were all pornographic. He wasn't allowed to take it to competitions.
Tzeentch would be my third choice.
Khorne I find boring.

 

That's right... take pleasure in the experience. Enjoy the agony of your opponent; their pain. Embrace the decadent sensation. And in your victory you too will have unwittingly become a patron of the Dark Prince. There is no escape from Chaos, it marks us all.

Nurgle is by far the grossest of the four. Maybe that makes it a bit easier to paint.

@NIGHTBRINGER himself - it’s his own catchphrase and motto for life.

On the contrary I’d actually think Nurgle is probably the most difficult god to paint, as you’d have to paint every single buboe, injury and exposed organ on every model. Though if you prefer to paint flesh than armour, then I’d imagine he’d have an appeal (alongside Slaanesh).

No, it is most definitely NOT a NIGHTBRINGER original. I got it from this old trailer (right towards the very end)...

It is more forgiving though as you don't have to paint as clean. Everything about them is stained, dirty and grimy.

In terms of painting difficulty I'd rank them as follows (from hardest to easiest):

1. Tzeentch (multi-coloured bright models are hard to pull off well)
2. Slaanesh (very clean & elegant, once again skewing towards lighter/brighter colours)
3. Khorne
4. Nurgle

I picked Tzeentch and Khorne, even though I find all four gods thematically interesting in their own way. Generally though, I'm more of a Chaos Undivided guy.
