I found Spiders! Wargame Atlantic spiders that I recently bought for some Nurgle shenanigans. And what do you imagine when you think about goblin things? Spiders. Anyways... that is 9 out of 14 models for Feathered Serpent. Edit: Also, nurgling co-pilot is finally properly placed.
Big priming at modellers club today! And while I was waiting, I assembled remaining Feathered serpent models.
Thank you, I mixed absolution green with holy white roughly 1:1 with maybe more on holy white side. It nicely desaturated it.
Army Painter Speedpaints 1.0 (Those old ones with reactivation), but I am sure there are alternatives in other ranges.
Progress on Land raider today. Also, I got my hands on cheap knock-off rhino. Ideal for nurglifying. I don't have pictures, but it is assembled and ready for handful of putty.
Brigand is finished! Next one will be a Karnivore, as I already painted that marine getting obliterated by Wardog chainsword.
Back to the lizards, baby! Finished rest of the Feathered Serpent models. I just have to make quick diorama to pose them. I really was really skeptical about those new chameleons and it took me long time to finally put my hands in the box, but darn, they are worth it.
Feathered serpent entry finally finished. Took me a bit longer and I made whole diorama terrain from scratch Here are contest photos:
And here are more from photoshoot (which was battlemat on drying rack and chair supported by besom). To prevent advantage during contest(as only three pictures are allowed), they are marked as spoiler, so open them after you vote. Fun fact from making of. I electroshocked myself about dozen of times with my homemade static grass applicator. Spoiler: Open after voting.
First pictures of my work on chaos knight. So far going according to instructions, but I'll start nurglification soon.
Had some time today, so I continued on knight. I assembled first pair of weapons and I am amazed by the sheer size of that minigun. It is about 11cm long (4 ½")!
More work on knight done. I prepared butt for that chaos tail. Magnetised almost all weapons and halves of torso. And started nurglifying first parts with leftover greenstuff. As for assembly, I only need to glue twin cannon on top and two chest mounted weapons. As for rest of pre-paint work, I have plenty of nurglification on panels to do and I have to get my hands on whole Abominant weapon loadout as I am missing all three pieces. Also, I am still amazed how big this thing is. Here is scale picture. Edit: and railing, I still have to make handrails from lead wire on various pieces.
Still on sick leave and running out of WIPs to do. Knight is waiting for milliput, rest of february goals are in the office or modellers club. So I dusted off dread from Leviathan I bought second hand and started cleaning parts. I also found nice deal on basic box-nought and I will either build it as is, or convert it to helbrute chaos dread.
I went to pharmacy today and stopped by at modeller's club to pick up my knock off rhino and milliput. After lunch, I (almost) finished knight nurglification. I said almost, because I just noticed that I forgot to cover slothole right in the center above head. While at it, I also put bunch of milliput and spare tentacles on rhino.
I managed to get my FOW stuff in order and produced nice balanced playable British list from only models I have unpainted in my box. I have three shermans as HQ and unit of daimlers & dingos primed and this stuff below prepared for assembly as first part of it:
