Saurus Oldblood Halberd Carnosaur Loping Stride Charmed Shield, Crown of Command, Dawnstone Skink Cohort Kroxigor, Musician, 16x Skink, Standard Bearer Skink Cohort Kroxigor, Musician, 16x Skink, Standard Bearer Ancient Stegadon Engine of the Gods Sharpened Horns Bastiladon Lazors How badly will this lose? I know I will flat out lose against warmachines, but there is only one person who actually uses them in my local. I don't care about being hyper competitive, but at the same time I don't want to flat out lose every game. So why take what I have? Well I love the big dinos, I think having the 3 up in the centre, with the skinks flanking would look cool and in my head could work....? Do you think I'll be crushed? :/ How can you make dino lists competitive in small points?
Might work ok, if you can keep your carnasaur with the 2 skink units, and the steg close enough for the 6+ ward, and counter charges. the blastidon can stay in the backfield and just shoot things. Ps. does your oldblood have light armor and a shield, might be worth it to swap the halberd with the +1 strength magic weapon, it you have the points left.
That was pretty much my thinking too. I think I'm just a little bored of the bread and butter lizzie lists which I usually run. Problem I feel is that we don't have a lot of different army comps at lower levels.
What kind of Basti? I suggest Lazerdon. I think it will work. It'll be super fun too! I would definitely use a flank-denial tactic with that army though. Hit 'em from one side and keep on rollin'. At 1200 there wont be much to hold up a Carno and Steg in tandem.
This will indeed not work against Dwards, so i will not keep hammering that one home. This is a fast list, hammering it home on the charge. You lack magic, a lot of tournament armies will have LV 4 wizard in them to exploit the strong magic in low points, a Skink Priest would not be off in this list to improve the list. This might work against some lists, but in around 70% of the time, i will give the advantage to your opponent solely due to your list.
Won 2, lost 1. Not too bad really! Won against a chaos river troll army and a block infantry lizardmen. Lost against big blocks of frenzied, hater beastmen with GW. He also managed to one shot my carno on turn one with amber spear. So I was totally crushed that game.
