Very nice work... and a very quick turn around too!! Impressive... most impressive.
The Red Dread is amazing love it
Thank you. I have a couple lists using the new models and I dislike using grey/black models, so I had a lot of motivation.
Thanks! He is sitting on my display shelf with a bunch of my fossils.
Small update. No lizards sadly, hopefully tomorrow. But the GF has done more trees!
From using old grass type things in the past I would imagine this has the risk of looking tacky but really that's done wonders for the model and works really really well - it adds a whole different dimension to them and heightens them from stoic bark looking sentinels to life breathing gaurdians of the forest - actually can't believe how impressed I am with this
They look incredible! Really cool idea!
Yeah. We debated a long time trying to figure out how to do it. We finally settled on thin wire, florist tape, white glue, and static grass. And a bit of trial and error to figure out a good combo of the three.
She originally wanted to do all the different seasons but she thought it would be to hard coordinating all the colors, so she settled on Willow trees.
P.S. Her favorite is the one whose hair comes down the front, over the two shoulders, because when the braches were drying it looked like the Alien from the Predator movies.
Yay!!! Finally got to play a game with my Dread! I won, sadly the dread died on turn 5, but his death secured the win and he took out 700 points in a 1500pts game!!! The real heroes were the 2 Skanks who contested my opponent's meteor by doing a wary retreat.
Edit: After starting to do a Bat Rep, to work out his army I noticed that he actually had 1680, rather than the 1480 he said he had. Opponent is a really good friend of mine so I give him the benefit of the doubt that was a simple math error in haste.
Haha! Oops! I think everyone has played in a game with math errors! It happens! Even with the points disadvantage you still claimed victory! Great job!
Yup. Math can be super hard. I sent him a message, he was super apologetic. We had a really good laugh about it. It also ended my 6 month losing streak against him and his cheesy Sigmarines.
Woo woo! Now for a 6 month winning streak!
I sure hope so! I have plenty of fun lists to try and keep the ball rolling. Also, the Bat Rep is up!
Poor quality but I wanted to show off the work station with all the models I worked on today. All but the 12 Skanks and 1 Skink Star Priest(which is my only Unpainted model left) are based.
Skanks, loose women in your area?
I like how those tree-models turned out. Are those the heads that came with them or were they replaced with ones from the treemen set?
The heads are the stock heads that came with the kit.
Loose lusty lizards looking for love.
It's an ongoing joke. When I first started AOS the manager at my local GW was going over units and I miss heard Skinks as "Skanks." It became a long standing joke, so I painted my 12 Skinks very Skanky.

Ahhh I remember now, don't get old it's not good......
And done! For the time being, until I get a new SC Box and a box of Gaurds, will post a complete army shot tomorrow morning. No more Gray/Primed models, and no more unbased models. All 114 models.
More incoming. Need to get the photos off of the camera.
