currently im on the dining room table, packing away each night but we have a loft space over the garage, Getting it cleared and going to make two desks were we can sit and paint. Anyone else got a dedicated hobby space?
ha ha, i used to be tucked away in the garage. But now have a kind of dedicated paint room. Unfortunately It doubles as a guest room, and since we are living abroad we get guests who stay for quite a while on a regular basis. Also in summer my oldest daughters room gets really hot so she then sleeps in the guest room as well. But apart from that.....it is all mine!!!
@n810 long time ago when I had no other half! Sunday was a very productive day got the floor down, made the desks and tonight i'm going to add a couple of lights and maybe some sockets, pics to follow.
Dining room table also. That is, back at my parent's. I move flats so often over the past five years space is a premium and the hobby has paid the price...
Yes we are on the look out for some decent posters, eventually I will dry line the walls and board and insulate the roof, defo before winter! Link me some art work guys
I have the top of my drawers at school and used my desk sometimes, my painting station is very mobile. When I am at home I use a small end table with some desk lamps School painting station all packed up
I just paint on the same desk I do homework on. It's the only place I can really focus on the painting and not other people, etc. It also has the nice atmosphere of being below a shelf filled with other painting projects and a collection of colorful dinosaur toys where some of my color schemes are inspired by. My first rule to painting is to paint where you feel most at home with what you paint.
If I was cursed blessed with this setup... ...I would get a big piece of cloth for a photo backdrop. I would hang it somehow from those exposed rafters. And it would be right there ready for when you want to snap a picture of something.
Since we did the whole graduated with an education thing, I got a new painting station set up at home, this time much more permanent
