I'm pretty sure that if Mrs NIGHTBRINGE R used either for cake decorating, she would get at least one more like.
Gryphons are really hard to draw! Like sweet jesus on a breadstick, I did have fun drawing that one though. Its all a work in progress getting anywhere with drawing fantasy creatures. I'll be more than happy to assist with any anatomy questions you may ever have!
I went through a phase of drawing nothing but dragons a couple of years back, and came to the conclusion that accurately drawing folded wings was harder than... well, anything else. Folded wings with feathers? It's so far above my skill level I'd need an Apollo mission just to be able to see it. Anyway, @Bluefire did you ever think of trying to make a stop-motion animation with your doodles? I think it could look really good, especially with some colour changes and unusual lighting.
I tried once, it did not go well, lack of patience was my downfall there. (Also all the free programs I had/found then were terrible.)
Animation is its own beast all together, some people can be amazing artists but cannot animate worth anything. Takes a considerable amount of patience alone then hacking down character designs to their most basic so you can actually animate it.
Ah, yes. Animation. I did every frame on sketching software as JPEGs, recorded sound track on video editing, then stretched / shrunk frame times to suit. Ignoring the actual character drawing and story boarding, duplicating everything each time for a tiny move takes time, and the recording and editing were two very late nights. It broke me. A followup video needed to come before I did everything else in the Seraphon Book Review Thread. The art for the followup video is done, but it has at least 4 times as many frames which connect in a more complicated way and probably need more sound effects to merge with. I just couldn't bring myself to do the editing. So I started drawing Sigminions instead.
I say, it has been a while! I haven't done any lizards lately, Lord Tombo decided to savage my feet while I was drawing, I took it as a bad sign. Still trying to get acquainted with the new laptop (I really need a desk.) So the quality of my work has gone down a bit. Mainly because I can't get the wings right on a stupid phoenix *Insert rest of rant here* So, in the meantime, have a five-second joke I drew up, Cheezeus!
I HAVE RETURNED TO LIZARD ART! What will I present? A clash of armies? The blood of vile ratmen being spilt? Nope, SPACETOAD! (I don't even like AOS. Space is easy to do though.)
Looks great! Now what constwllation is that, if I look this way, it's a terradon meteors from yhe sky constellation. If Inlook that way it's a sunblood shield bashing constellation. Really awesome!
