Built the 20 saurus knights, got them primed and got a good start on painting the cold one mounts. Goal is to have these finished by the end of the month
Progress so far. The individual cold one is finished other than the eyes, which will just be painted yellow with no pupils to save time/effort. They'll be done today and I'll maybe start on the riders. @VikingRage how goes the race?
I'm really really digging the Garchomp Cold Ones. It's enough to make me.... Actually like the Cold Ones model! I'm hype to see them finished!
I love that you recognized the theme, that makes me so happy Having painted them I came to like the model a bit more. Still not great, but I don't hate it lol. Still need a refresh for sure
Cold ones are all done. After a few test models for the riders, I settled on something I liked, so they're underway now!
Haha, thanks for the callout! Tonight is my paint night, so I am hoping to knock out the scales on a few more tonight.
Riders skin, scales, and underbellies are done! Won't have a lot more time this week, but hoping to get a bit more work done each night. Coming down to the wire on my goal of finishing them by the end of the month.
Got some more progress, started on the gold. There is a lot of gold on these things, but we're coming down the home stretch. I don't think I'll make my goal of having them done by the end of the month, but we'll keep pushing
Thanks! I finished them the other day but didn't have time to post pics, I'll be starting on the bases later tonight and will put some up
Finished painting the unit and got started on the basing this evening. Everything is in place on the base and sealed it in with varnish, hoping to start painting the bases Sunday!
Definitely not my favorite project but just did my best to quickly power through them. Got a lot to finish before Adepticon!
Well, well done! And that is a super cool goal, and you should just color me jealous. I hope you do us proud!!
I'm not expecting much other than just having a good time with some friends lol. It'll be my first AoS tournament ever, and my first tabletop tournament in about a decade. But I'll do my best!
To be honest, having a good time and not being "that guy" at the table is probably the most important part of any game. Doublely so at tournaments where emotions ride high I am tempted to go next year, but as for this year, I am already traveling a lot this spring and can't justify another trip
