She looks amazing! The tarnished metal looks really good and I love the contrast of the orange flowers against the the purples. Great work
Amazing work, man. I really like the soft green and orange against the purple. The robes are done excellent And the metal parts really look old and weathered. Keep up the great work. Grrr, Imrahil
Thank you very much, I put a lot of thought into the color composition for this army and even moreso the lady so I'm glad it's working well! I'm also glad you saw it as tarnished metal, I was worried it would come off as a magic glow or something
Thank you very much! I'm glad people are liking the color choices, I thought about them a lot. I'm also glad the weathering is working, I wasn't super confident in it!
The lady herself is 100% done! I'm pretty happy with how she turned out, I had been looking forward to painting this model for awhile. I got a lot of work done on the handmaidens too, they're done except for the trinkets in their hands. I'll hopefully finish them over the weekend and I'll post pics when the model is complete and assembled!
Wow! Great work. The base makes the model pop even more! Awesome handsmaidens as well. Work to be proud of. Grrr, Imrahil
Done! I'm really happy with her. She was a model that I was excited to paint but at the same time was nervous because I didn't want to mess it up, so I just went for it. I think the next project will be finishing up 20 chainrasps that are partially done, I'll prob work on them this week!
Amazing, what a model! You have done it justice to great extent. A beauty to show off. But a nightmare to transport Grrr, Imrahil
Thank you! Luckily I have a magnetized transport case, very helpful with all the flowy spectral-ness of the nighthaunt!
It's been awhile, but I finally finished up the 20 chainrasps. I now have 40 completed and I'm glad to be moving onto something else. I think... it's time...
OK, here's some wip pics so far. I started on the palanquin first and it was a journey lol. I'm happy enough with where it's at to move on to a different section, I want to see how it looks after I fill in some other details. Not sure what part I'll do next. I'm going to matte varnish it next time I sit down at the hobby desk too, that should help for future pictures.
Not a huge update, but I didn't like how the engravings on the back arch of the palanquin were getting lost so I added some highlights to accentuate them and did some edge highlights on the snake arm rests and other spots of the seat, then I matted everything down. I think I'm going to do the trees and vines next.
