Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - August 2023 This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple. At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else. Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link. Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link. The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc. You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section. If you need advice etc. post here andthe community will try and answer. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress Grrr, !mrahil

I'm hoping to finish the rest of my Saurus Warriors. I've currently got 3 and a half finished, so let's see if I can get the other 6 done by the end of the month. If I do, then I might get to work on a Skink Starseer or some Aggradons!
Well this month has clear goals... Paint up a 1000 points of Seraphon and base them. Play a game at a local games shop. Anything else is a bonus
Let’s organize my chaotic Lizards: - Catalogue miniatures from a recent acquired lot; - Paint and convert 1 Old Blood On cold one; - Paint and Convert 1 Scar Veteran On Cold One; - Paint 12 cold one knights.
Back to the grind with citadel. This month my main focus is going to be on painting a fair few Sisters. I haven't found myself enjoying painting power armour, but i'll try and soldier through. I've got the Prussian from last month to finish (he's pretty much basecoated bar some tidying, so should just be washes, highlights, and details.) I have also started basecoating the Lumineth Aelf that was a model of the month several months back, am not following any colour scheme and i'm trying to not use any metallic paints. My next big focus after the Sisters, Dragoon, and Aelf will be Blackpowder's warband. I really enjoyed Hrothgorn's warband so hopefully this should be fun. Not certain what plumage I want to do for the parrot. Finally if I get time i'd very much like to paint another Punga Minis Pi-Rat. I had such a blast with the last one, despite all the yellow, and I really like how crisp the details are. Alright, hopefully I won't spend this month overthinking a single small lizard... Finish painting a unit of skinks with clubs Organize my model collection Think about some potential color schemes for my Saurus Maby work some kitbashes or terrain

For once I think I've been more productive Paint up a 1000 points of Seraphon and base them. About 800 or so painted and about the same based. The biggest job was a unit of 10 Warriors that I covered on my personal blog. The rest is either touching up or finishing off. Play a game at a local games shop. Only 6 more days to go
I hope it is not a race But really, I managed to get a lot done, just almost nothing is finished yet.
Second third of the month progress report. Paint 15 tyranids - 11 painted Paint 10 death guard models - 11 painted Paint 10 seraphon models - 0 painted Preshade stegadon - not done 6 more tyranids are almost finished and I struggle to finish painting 4 more plague marines. Also saurus warriors are still waiting to be painted, but I really don't want to move them to the office, as I managed to break two spears already moving them around living room. Edit: I bloody hate those new spears. They are so thin...

Calling it quits for this month Painted some skinks, but Didin't finish any cause in my infinite wisdom I put my main "contrast" brush in super glue... I'll probably be able to finish at least one more warrior, but it turns out I spend vastly more time on each mini than I first anticipated That'll be 8 warriors finished out of 10, a total of 5 finished this month!
Since I work from home tomorrow, I won't be able to do anything more. Maybe I'll manage to preshade stegadon, as it is home (I'll edit post if I do). Rest of models are at the office.
